Karljohn Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Depends which Arsenal turns up, either 2-1 or 0-4.
Guest LCFC_World Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Callum Chambers has just got booked because he came on before the ref had signaled him too...What is the game coming too?!?!?! And yes, I believe we can get the win.
maddog Posted 27 August 2014 Author Posted 27 August 2014 My point was that we've barely seen Albrighton play for Leicester, so I don't see how you can suggest Mahrez deserves to be dropped for him. There's no way Pearson is leaving Mahrez out on Sunday. Just can't see it happening. Knockaert deserved to be dropped for two reasons 1) He looked off the pace/not fully fit against Everton 2) We can't play both him and Mahrez in the same 11 away from home (or even at home IMO) There's no justification for dropping Mahrez. He was great against Everton and steady at Chelsea. In fact, the only player to have a shot on target bar Nugent's pathetic miss. We could debate this till the cows come home then go back out again!? Will just have to see Sunday afternoon, whoever is playing wings I hope they score and get an assist whether Albright on, Mahrez, McArthur, Schulpp or Super Taylor fletcher I do think 3 games in eight days with two at PL level against Champions League sides may be a little too much for Mahrez to bear considering he does a lot of running. I'm also concerned about Konchesky because he is 10 years older and I believe is our weakest link in the starting 11 - unfortunately we don't have another option there unless we play Jeff who lacks experience.
weller54 Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Arsenal had tough champions league game tonight, they were saying Willsher could hardly walk towards the end.. Hopefully they'll feel this game in their legs on Sunday!!!... Need Vardy in the team to run them ragged!!

Harry - LCFC Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Defeat has to be the most likely outcome but I'm far from pessimistic about our chances. Seriously hoping Vardy's fit.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Went for a win purely because of tonight's events, they got knackered and in all honesty didn't look that great! I think King and Hammond will keep their place, and I hope they do as they deserve it, as well as Nuge and Mahrez who are more debatable.

If he's a physical superman (perhaps he is I don't know) the mental side of things in terms of epic concentration will be draining for anyone. This is why we desperately need another recognised left back. Konchesky has a mistake in him when fully fit and focused, anybody's concentration will wane with three starts in eight days especially a 33 years old football professional
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Again a draw would be a great result I certainly dont want us going into international break with a loss.
Happy Fox Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Miss that feeling of winning a game of football come on City lets do it!!!

It went sailing over his head and put them in a great position. Left back was the one area I was sure we would strengthen in over the summer. Seems I was wrong
Bobby Hundreds Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Started off thinking win, then a loss and after last night maybe draw.
Tommy G Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Thought Vardy was supposed to be back for Chelski?
indierich06 Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Quietly optimistic about this game. Giroud's out, if we can keep their midfield quiet then we should be ok. Will be a very tough game, no doubt about that, but this is a massive banana skin for Arsenal and they're away from home... I wouldn't have bet against them losing this kind of game last season. We can but dream! Hopefully Vardy will be back for this one and McArthur signs in time. I'd line up: Schmeichel De Laet - Moore - Morgan - Konchesky Albrighton - King - McArthur - Mahrez Vardy - Ulloa
Silverdaz Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Dont think they will risk Vardy against Aresenal as we have a two week break after this game so he can hopefully get fit
Socks Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Reckon we'll lose, they looked a lot sharper than us last night... Giroud is out though....
kingcarr21 Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 HOW LONG THOUGH Normally bout 7" but on a cold day can go at least half that.
RonnieTodger Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Wasn't going to go to this as I'd bought tickets for Everton & United games, but I've been given VIP hospitality ones from work
lgfualol Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Their midfield is a bit crazy so I would go Kasper De Laet Morgan Moore Konch Hammond McArthur. King Albrighton. Mahrez Ulloa With King getting forward more. If no McArthur then 4-2-3-1 with Nuge. This but Cambiasso for McArthur
