EnglishOxide Posted 18 October 2014 Posted 18 October 2014 THIS!!!! What's the point in warming up if the game don't kick off for another hour an half?
Number 6 Posted 18 October 2014 Posted 18 October 2014 Looks like a good away line up to me. Pack the midfield and try to control the game from there. Think we'll look to keep it tight for 60 minutes and then introduce the likes of Vardy and try to nick a win. Only thing that could count against this for me is that with the Pardew hate, the first goal could really rile the fans and get them on Newc's back. We're going to have to stay solid with this line up and I feel we'll need Schlupp to be on his game as he is our only source of pace on the counter.
AdamN Posted 18 October 2014 Posted 18 October 2014 They say on Final Score it "looks like it's been fixed". Morgan showing Vardy pictures on his phone. Vardy laughs.
Finnegan Posted 18 October 2014 Posted 18 October 2014 What the actual ****? ****ing Albrighton? And no Vardy? I hope this is one of those Pearson master strokes. Albrighton best weigh in with about ten perfect crosses to Ulloa's bonce. Not convinced he offers anything physically or defensively in a tough away trip. In their form, Vardy would have been a terrifying outlet on the counter. There's almost **** all pace in that attack, other than Schlupp who has no end product. Woeful. Praying I'm wrong but that's got limp wristed "struggled to create chances" defeat written all over it.
Guest LCFC_World Posted 18 October 2014 Posted 18 October 2014 Why don't they just let the fans in thats on the other side of the stadium? Then there would be less to let in when we can finally get under way...

We need to take the game to the opposition. Newcastle are the perfect opportunity to do that being low on confidence and just generally being a crap side. We made the mistake against Burnley of not going for the throat, making the same mistake twice would be criminal.

A point would be a good result here.
Kitchandro Posted 18 October 2014 Posted 18 October 2014 Newcastle are a lot better than Burnley and they're at home. A point would be a good result here. The fact they've not won this season would suggest otherwise. And besides, I'm saying we're more likely to lose trying to keep it tight than if we played our quick, positive pressing game with pace.
Charl91 Posted 18 October 2014 Posted 18 October 2014 I kind of wish we'd played Vardy (or even, dare I say it, Nugent) instead of Schlupp. I'm sure Vardy can do a job on the wing, and I have much more faith that he's not going to blast the ball all the way to the moon. Other than that, don't have a problem with the team. Would like Mahrez, but can understand why he's not playing.
The Blur Posted 18 October 2014 Posted 18 October 2014 It makes sense. Everyone is looking at Newcastles weaknesses but the strength lies in wings. Having Albrighton over Vardy means you've got a player who will track back as well as deliver upfront And Schlupp does more defensive work than Vardy as well hence his inclusion. Think Welbeck of England.

They'll finish at least 5 places above Burnley.

I know where you're coming from, hence saying about the Pardew thing: Newcastle are vulnerable at the moment. Ideally I'd like to see Vardy in but not sure we can then get those 3 central midfielders in which I feel will aid us control possession which we weren't able to do against Burnley.
ozleicester Posted 18 October 2014 Posted 18 October 2014 well, at least Pardew has got another hours pay
