Schlupp

he has at least 1 assist and has a goal and gets criticized, how assists does Drinkwater who most on here wank over, for example have? Jeff is still fairly young and has been moved around the pitch quite a lot for us, let him settle as a winger and he'll flurish

Are you trying to say Schlupp is better than Drinkwater? lol

And you adore Cambiasso I believe?

Hmmmm...

haha i wouldn't say adore. i see what cambiasso offers to the team. i can excuse players playing badly like he did today or like james did in parts today or like a lot of players do a lot of the time. what i cannot for the life of me see is why jeff schlupp is anywhere near the starting xi of a premier league team. he's got the footballing brain of a dog and the close control and footballing ability of my nan in high heels. and he never makes the right decisions, his passing is awful, his finishing is a joke, he is an abomination of a footballer.

just my thoughts, obviously you're entitled to yours

It is a bit odd that he couldn't get into our championship team but now seems to be a regular now we have stepped up.  There is no logic in that whatsoever.

In over 50 years of watching City, Schlupp is possibly the worst decision maker I have ever seen. Occasionally he gets it right, but sometimes he is so bad it is embarrassing. I consider myself a reasonably fair guy, but wouldn't want him in my 5-a-side team and I am in my 60's.

Too often, his first touch is awful and he is out of position so often, it's laughable. Look at Chelsea away.

His goal at Millwall in January summed it up, clean through, panicking, didn't know what to do, misfit the shot, through the keepers legs. He got lucky. In the Premier League, you normally need a bit more - in my opinion he had not got it.

When the opposition see him on our team sheet, they must all be happy, knowing that he's the weak link.

I like NP, got loads of time for him, but his job is always on the line, so why does he play our worse players so often. Dropping Vardy and Nugent against a fragile Newcastle seemed crazy to me. Pardew must have been elated. If Schlupp plays on a regular basis this season, we will really struggle to win games.

We should have taken 5-7 points from the last tthree games to set up the season, we have missed out IMO, through paying the wrong players. Hopefully, it won't cost us in the long run.

cos we're playing a different system for absolutely no reason whatsoever, and in theory this system should be made for schlupp to flourish. but he's a bag of wank so he's not.

Drinkwater is about 100 times the player Schlupp is. That's probably why.

He was shit last week but the goal glazed that over for most people. I used to like him and thought he had serious potential, but he looks like he'll never get near it. Dyer was soo so much better.

no just making a comparison, Jeff is doing the job he is asked to do as is Danny but 1 is beloved so can do no wrong on here the other gets slated unless he plays like Gareth Bale

Knockaert was on form last season, this season he isn't

was he balls, he couldn't cross for a start, he really was just about pace

at least dyer used his pace to get into threatening positions even if he did f uck them up half the time. i could probably count on one finger the amount of times schlupp has either a) ran at someone with the ball and gone past them using his incredible pace or b) gone beyond the last man to get onto a through ball using his incredible pace or c) stretched a team, be it on the wing or to the byline so others have space or he can receive a ball in space and use his incredible pace.

He's pretty poor it's got to be said - he seems fine off the ball, decent runs and movement but once he's on the ball, it's ending up in row z or the keepers hands - either his decision making is woeful or he doesn't have any sort of control over his deliveries. Being shifted around the pitch won't help, but it's no excuse for messing up the basics.

Did you watch or go to the game today?! Drinkwater was the best player we had. What a strange comparison.

You have to be winding us up if you think Schlupp is a more effective player than Dyer. People are scared of Dyer. He creates plenty of goals and chances, and uses his pace well. Schlupp has the brain of a 7 year old when he's attacking.

He's a good enough replacement at left back but no more.

Ah.. we've had a 'Nugent out' thread, now it's Jeffs turn?

Where is the 'Is Cambiasso really the best player City have ever signed' thread? Or 'Why has Ulloa dropped his form'?

Just a thought..

Well chucked in matey, some joker has already started on Cambiasso.

Just proves the fans cant take the pressure..

Schlupp was simply the worst of a bad bunch. Ulloa, James, Albrighton and Konchesky were all pretty poor today, it just wasn't our night.

I would not have Schlupp down as a starter but still think he's a useful asset to the squad. Doesn't change the fact he was a bit of a passenger today. In the final 20 minutes Vardy caused Janmaat - who for the record played very badly - so many problems showing how poor Schlupp was today!

if people made clips of him kicking the ball out of play, falling over his own feet, running head down straight into defenders this thread would've broken many a laptop with too many videos on one page. one pretty good cross doesn't wipe all the shit out of my memory like it seems to everyone else's

He's been my only Critism of Pearson,

What does Nigel and even Sir Alex see what we don't,he as much use as a chocolate teapot,

Yes he does do the odd good thing(like warm the bench)

But he couldn't finish his dinner,I find him embarrassing,

A shot on goal for him is if it goes out for a throw,

I think his crosses are actually a shot at goal,

In the same way his shots on goal look like more if a cross,

I was really glad when I seen a topic about him and that I'm not the only one who thinks he shit.
