Wasyl's Elbow - What's the fuss? No ban.

He was solid today. Positional sense far better than Moore but obviously that comes with experience. And the elbow, football has gone soft if everyone is moaning about that.

His elbow was the highlight of the game. Looking forward to him ending someones career.

Barton?

I predicted on twitter that Berahino would get up close and personal with Wasyls elbows today. He just cant help himself!

For me Was was our best player today. If there is a worse footballing centre back and captain in the premier? I would be very surprised. He simply isnt good enough.

Lescott today, Ashley williams last week. Head and shoulders above him.

Very worrying.

I dont agree with the first two lines but he is a bit of a worry. If i was the manager i would be asking for £20/£30m in Jan for a decent CB, CM and striker. Who they are, if that would actually happen and if we do that, who knows.

Guys a liability and a car crash waiting to happen. Should be nowhere near the first team.

You serious? We looked alot better with him in there and like others have said he was probably our best player.

He was solid today, are you lot mental?

Agreed. So he did his standard elbow which he always gets away with, when he gets sent off for it I'll be angry with him. Until then he can elbow who the fvck he wants if he plays as solidly as today.

Didn't see the elbow incident, but put that aside I agree with the lovely Steve, Wasyl was solid today.

He picked out some good forward passes as well though, despite lumping it a few times his balls actually went to our players.

He was solid today. Been impressed with him, Moore and Morgan this season so far. As I said in the other thread, the full backs are the problem.

I couldn't really see the elbow from my view but over the course of the game Dorrans was constantly fouling, Brunt was constantly moaning and I'm pretty sure Foster handled it outside the area.

MOTM for me by a distance. Who cares if he's a bit ungainly, if it weren't for a freakish OG, he'll have played 1 and kept 1 clean sheet.

Agreed!

I'm not sure about the elbow, Wasyl has this habit of using his arm to block people off and sometimes it's borderline as to whether he's using his strength or giving someone a whack with the forearm. Commentator was going nuts but it didn't seem that clear cut that it was deliberate or there was much force involved. One for the FA to look at.

Aside from that, Wasyl is a better central defender than Liam Moore, Moore may become better but right now Was has the better positioning and reading of the game. He was able to snuff out West Brom attacks where Moore would probably been caught in two minds and I don't think we'd have played the offside trap anywhere near as effectively with Moore playing.

What would be ace is if Liam could play left back, as Konchesky is a weak point in both defence and attack, an honest player but one who was never suited to the more modern attacking full back role and who is down on pace.

Congratulations, you know how to talk sense! Good post friend.

He was solid but way too slow for their goal, he gave Berahino the freedom of Leicester.

He's not the long term solution. Too slow and will get sent off at some point no doubt.
