Sunderland game massive now,oh hang on wasnt Burnley,Palace and West Brom all massive games.

The manager is ripping the confidence out of an already fragile side,by being to negative.

this ^^    we should have been all out attacking in those games but we did the same pile of shite we just witnessed

How can you not play MAHREZ!?

What are you doing Nigel Pearson. He is a match changer, our driving force, why we score and create goals but no let's play FOUR midfielders...

I thought we did okay defensively. Morgan and Wasyl were super duper up until they conceded. Schlupp is my man of the match I think.

Nigel Pearson must be close to being let go, I mean since Man U we have scored twice - and lost 5? The quality of our team is showing. We've shown playing together, we could beat anyone - but they're not playing as a team we are really seeing the lack of quality in individuals. Championship at best  for a lot of them at current.

Today we played a full team, not one had played in the premier league before this season. Meanwhile, we have Simpson and Albrighton not even making the squad, Konchesky whom is on his last legs and Nugent who is terrible.

Pearson should really have been prepared for this IMO. Most of them look absolutely terrified of this league, of losing the ball. of running forward. Clueless.

The performances get worse and worse. It's absolutely irrelevant if we defend ok for 60 minutes!

We're going into every game hoping for a point at best!

We can still defend narrowly and make our wingers double up without the ball.

At least then we might have some threat going forward.

Is NP absolutely thick? How can he not work it out!!

We literally haven't created a chance (bar Wood) for 5 games.

The missis knows her football.

She said the problem could well be Pearson. He's a limited manager. Strict disciplinarian, but not flexible enough for the Prem. The players will work hard for him (true) and generally like him.

But the Prem is a tough, tough division. And it seems that he doesn't have the ability to adapt to the next level.

She could be right.

I think he's not signed sensibly in the summer. We are really no better than last season.

And to top it all..Burnley won..at least I made a few quid out of that.

You cannot defend for 90 minutes like that. We are not good enough at it. You've got to be Chelsea to make those tactics work and we are quite poor defensively.

Once again I attach very little blame to the players. They tried their best to do what Pearson told them to do - sit back and defend and hope to grind out a 0-0. Yeh they were all over the place for the second goal but we'd already lost by then. There was no way we were going to score a goal today, not from minute 1.

We look like relegation fodder, we're just happy to get any 0-0 we might be fortunate enough to hang on to, but mainly we're just going to get beat by sides who are trying to win matches.

Surely Pearson does not expect us to stay up playing this negatively every week. He'll have no one else to blame but himself if we are in the bottom 3 still in a month or so and he gets the sack, and I'll have no sympathy with him. It's all his own doing.

It's deja vu.

I remember a few years back in our yearly Championship relegations battles when every game was must win, we lost but it's alright because the next one was must win, but we lost that, but it was ok because the next one was must win and so on.

Errrm people said it after almost every game last year as well, it's not just poor seasons it's said. I should know because it's one of my most hated sayings.

Anyway, utter shit again. Defensive negative shite, Pearson has to start playing to our strengths and that has always been 4-4-2. We are playing defensive and still losing... What choice do we have! Attack!

Without Knockart or Mahrez we have absolutly no creativity. Punting it up to somewhere in the vincity of vardy and hope he can take it round the entire backline himself just doesn't work. We have to sacrifice the defensiveness and go at teams. We'll still loose but we'll win some and at least look like scoring some goals.

What I don't get is the persistence in not playing with any width, we weren't doing that last season and at the start of this.... almost feels like since getting Drinkwater and James back from injury we have gone backwards

I remember driving back from Sheff Wed last season and my brother saying Pearson had no idea and couldn't get us promoted.

Bottom 8 separated by 5 points. Shape of the season clear. Keep the faith, we can do this.

we can all sit here and defend Pearson and say he shouldn't go, however, it's a results based business and Nigel is failing. Usually two+two = gone, doesn't matter what we think or say.

Lets not forget we were in the championship last season and we were never going to dominate teams in the prem like we did in the championship, however saying that I do have a problem with Nige at the moment, evidently the confidence is very low within the team and it doesn't seem like Nige is helping with that at all. We have 2 of our most creative players with Knocky and Mahrez not starting, they need to play games to gain experience of the premier league and to worry opposition defences. If we do not attack we leave teams to play out their own tactics and game plan and that is never going to be good for us. The reason why we started well is because we attacked when teams didn't expect us to, we cant just go to the likes of Southampton with a negative attitude to try and grab a point. The sooner Pearson realises this the better. He needs to play his best team and not let personal feelings of "bad attitudes" etc get in the way.

I still feel that we will stay up and I still feel that Pearson is the man to do that for us. However he needs to quickly pull his head out of his ass and sort out the confidence issues of the players and get them playing the football we were playing in the first 4 or 5 games.

At least everyone else in bottom five or six are shite too. Hull, villa, place are all poor and struggling for goals.

4 centre midfielders clearly isn't working, drinkwater and James are clearly not comfortable with it. If we start that again I will have lost all faith.

If only we'd have seen that burnley game out, since that moment we have gone into a shell.

On its own, this result isn't the problem. However we look out of depth on the ball and players seem to be losing faith in the management.

Whether he feels it or not, pearson is under pressure.

I like how you are looking at positives but I don't buy into it, like I don't buy into 'there are worse teams than us in this league', i'm really not sure, the players are not up to this task or job, they cannot pass a ball.

Wish you were in charge pal then we could go to places like Southampton and lose 8-0 like Sunderland.

They weren't actually that massive no as we'd already got 9 points on the board and we were relatively comfortable. Sunderland and QPR actually are quite huge. If we fail to win those two then fair enough have your little knee jerk hissie fit. After a game we were always going to struggle in I don't see the point.
