Just been told the same from a source and different positions so not a case of one or the other. All that was added was thursday deadline for both as other irons in the fire and we want them positions filled.

We have only scored 20 and 5 of those were in 1 game. Over the last month or so the back 4 has been a lot more solid and with Upson hopefully coming back in that should improve further. Someone to created chances is hopefully the next person in.

Our defenders are not ball players and often lump it long if they haven't got a quick option. Our defensive outlet 90% of the time is Konch who often pumps it up the wing. As good a servant as Konch has been we need a quicker left back who can pass and move. We can't create if we haven't got the ball!

Mainz won't let Okazaki go this month and one of the most respected German football magazines, Kicker, has confirmed that, as well. Shinji stays put while we need two new defenders and a midfielder in the best-case scenario.
