justfoxes Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 Stringer just loves to push PEARSON'S buttons to see how far he'll go !! But reading the posts and on radio Leicester it sounds like ! TAXI FOR PEARSON !! I've always backed big Nige but really how long can we continue in this awful situation??
Dr The Singh Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 Stringer asking if Pearson would be sacked, wasn't a pleasant thing to hear, no one wants to get sacked, and openly discuss it, is silly
easilee Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 Pearson has done a lot for our club. To be binned after 9 bad results would be a kick in the teeth. Reckon he should be given til after the Jan Transfer window. If nothing improves....Outtahere!
youglan Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 not silly cos if we down by feb then i will blame nigel
ozleicester Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 if he said that then he is a c..t. fans were here before him and will be here after Defintley said it, but in his defence he says he was defending his players from abuse. IMO he needs to be above it, but pressure tells i guess and its a risk he takes by sitting in the stand (a decision i support). The biggest issue for me is i dont know how we are going to change things... and i dont think he does either, our team is not good enough for this league?
youglan Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 bt sports sum it up if there dont win on sunday there will be a change of manager
Bunyip Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 The level of delusion on here beggars belief. People saying " Liverpool were there for the taking " They never even had to get out of third gear. We are at the bottom not because of bad luck , if's or maybe's we are at the bottom because we are the worse side in the premiership. The table does not lie. This has all come about because we have a manager with no top class experience who decided in the close season that his promoted side would be good enough to hack it in the Prem without getting any premiership standard players in. I wish people would be man enough to admit that we are still a Championship side masquerading as a Premiership side . How many if any of our current players would get in any other prem side ? Close season we all knew out defence was not going to be up for it and what did the manager do about it ? NOTHING except dish out new contracts to the very players we knew were not good enough. For those still supporting Pearson could you please enlighten me on why you think him and this team have any hope what so ever of staying up ? Any other club would be showing him the door way before tonight, he had his chance and has proved an abject failure at this level. Get rid A.S.P while we still have a glimmer of hope. :xmasangry: :xmasangry: :xmasangry: :xmasangry:
ealingfox Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 How can Pearson account for individual errors though? He can't stop them from making them and he can't then slag them off post-match. Too many players that are too far off being good enough to get away with it consistently.
Guest Col city fan Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 Pearson is coming across like the pitful excuse that is the England cricket team currently. A closed shop.. No acceptance of any blame, 'business as usual' etc etc.. He shows pretty much zero humility and absolute arrogance. For all the effort ( and you can't knock us for that), something is seriously wrong with this team. It does not look anything like the team of last season, even with the big step up. I'm surprised so many are so accepting (or just resigned)? For me, that second half was a pretty abject display. Lots of huff and puff, but so little quality.
Benji Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 Does this guy ever finish a sentence or just start new ones?
Kitchandro Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 We gave it a go tbf, but gallant defeats were for 6 weeks ago. Now, I couldn't care less. If we'd have played shit and won I and everyone would be saying what a great victory it was. We played ok and lost, and are bottom. Being below QPR and especially Burnley is unacceptable. We just didn't have the quality to score the goals required or keep them out at the other end. All I know is, we should never have been in a position where a defeat to Liverpool is so depressing. We're in that position because of Pearson's long term mismanagement this season, whether that's in the transfer market or his bizarre tactics since the Burnley game. We do not have the confidence to make the most of our good players and carry the average/poor ones. I still think we have the squad to stay up, but everything else is not good enough. We're failing as a team and as a set-up and that is what's so disappointing. Another thing - we made 1 sub?! WTF. We've got Drinkwater and Knockaert in the bench who never got a kick. Horseshit.
MC Prussian Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 Stringer sounds really hurt tonight after the clash with Pearson.
Fox Ulike Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 Schlupp and Vardy were the only two players who didn't perform today imo. Morgan was awful too actually. The rest were pretty solid and even looked threatening at times. Schlupp missed an opportunity today. Their right back in the first half is almost as bad at footy as our Jeff and he bottled any chance he had to run at him. Awful. Schlupp spent most of the game tucking in as a left-sided CM to try and fill the gaping holes in our midfield. He did OK but yet another player being asked to play an unfamiliar role. I can see what Pearson is trying to do but its just hopelessly flawed. Getting really fed up of saying this now, but we have got to play a five-man midfield. Vardy out, King or Drinky in. On the plus side, we played really well tonight against a much better team. Tonight has restored some of my confidence in Pearson. However if he goes with yet another suicidal FourFourTwo at Villa, that be it for me.
justfoxes Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 justfoxes i think until sunday then he be gone I think after tonight's moment of madness verbal attack might be sooner shame rely PEARSON was superb last season and the beginning of this seasons first few games the players also need to look at themselves too superb performances one minute shite another !!
Stevosevic Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 People not realised it's Pearson's lack of business in the summer that leaves us where we are? He takes full responsibility
orbison Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 The truth of the matter is we are just too top heavy, we have no fewer than seven players who like to bomb forward, solid performances start from the back and midfield, you have to have players who can tackle play simple passes mark players, i felt sorry for matty james tonight he worked his heart out, our best player by a mile, we remind me of blackpool when holloway had them in the premier nice to watch, but relegation certainties, there were some good individual performances tonight , but it is football suicide to play a team with no ball winners in midfield, and no discipline, if pearson cannot see this then its curtains for sure.

He won't even jump for headers, what's he going to do when the ball's chipped up to him and he has no one up there with him? A 5 man midfield caused our worst performance of the season against Swansea.
Dr The Singh Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 People not realised it's Pearson's lack of business in the summer that leaves us where we are? He takes full responsibility So will he be resigning?????? Or keep his galiant retort and slate fans off!!!!

Nail on head... And I too was thinking exactly the same thing after the game. Very much akin to an Ian Holloway side that took us down. Little discipline, no structure to the team.
Babylon Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 Thing is I would actually agree that we played quite well in numerous areas tonight. It's just again errors at the back and wastefulness up front that have cost us, and we will get punished every game. I don't think changing the manager is going to solve these problems. Lack of confidence is a massive problem now, and Schmeichel will continue to cost us on a weekly basis. He is being ruthlessly exposed at this level, and out of confidence as much as anyone. It's sad and painful but we were just wrong about some of our players ability to make the step up, we made a few mistakes and had some bad luck and that has all snowballed, and we're in big trouble now. When you're at the bottom nothing goes your way and I do feel we have been really quite unlucky a lot of the time. We haven't acquitted ourselves properly in the PL. I have no doubts that we had, and still do have, enough to stay up, but we're stuck in a rut now and the problems seem to magnifying more and more. We've done it the wrong way for us. I'm not expecting many to agree but I thought that was incredibly harsh to call that a 'clear goalscoring opportunity' for the red. Because it does have to be a clear opportunity. I don't think he'd have given that at the other end. A fair summary. It's infuriating that players are being so inconsistent, so many times a player does something well and they makes an awful pass, shot, clearance etc. Much of that can be down to low confidence, and Pearson should rightly take the blame for that by surrendering the initiative for too many games. I feel like we're more on the right track than we were with the diamond now and he's doing the right things again but the player's quality is letting us and him down. I think Wes has been ok so far but he's made several costly errors now of late so we'll see how we do without him. Kasper, well I think that's the first cast iron mistake along with a lot of 50/50's and the management need to think hard on him because if his shot stopping is causing problems as well then he'll have to be swapped out. I'm not really sure what the answer is with what we've got to work with.
Kitchandro Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 People not realised it's Pearson's lack of business in the summer that leaves us where we are? He takes full responsibility We've still got a better squad than Burnley and QPR, and as good a one as Sunderland, Palace etc. He's failed more tactically than anything else. I do think we did poorly in the transfer market but being bottom with this squad is inexcusable. If we do go down I won't look to the summer, I'll look to those run of games starting with Newcastle away were we abandoned every positive atom in our make-up. We've still not recovered from that even now we've started to have a go again.
BoyJones Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 Gutted we lost to a poor Liverpool team, they were there for the taking, but as usual individual errors cost us every goal. Two assists from Wes and one from Kasper. When will it end. Let's go with Hamer and Moore on Sunday, we can't do any worse. Mahrez tends to be poor away from home, so give Albrighton a chance. Like to see Drinkwater back, I like James he works hard, but little end result and his shooting is woeful. Similar shot tonight as at QPR, well over bar from a great position. All is not lost, look at Palace last year, but we need to focus on cutting out the errors and improving our inept decision making.
