  1. 1. How Has Ian Stringer handled the last few weeks?

    • He's just doing his Job. He's got to ask difficult Questions. Carry on Ian
    • Been a bit overboard, but means well. He's harmless.
    • Quite frankly embarrassing. Out of his depth. Handled it badly.

So there have been  several thoughts shared about Nigel. Even a Poll. So thought about a Poll as to how people think Ian Stringer has handled himself recently. Radio Leicester are backing him and are claiming most of the fans are too so thought they should have a chance to see what most Leicester fans think. like a collaboration of opinions.

uh oh.

Instead of people taking cheap shots on Twitter  or BBC having rose tinted glasses over who has contacted them, thought they could have the option of seeing collectively what people thought.....

Embarrassed for him

Anyway, difficult questions have every right to be asked, he just asks stupid ones, doing us no favours whatsoever

Additionally, he should be hammered for his commentary where his personal opinion bleeds into it, removing actual events on pitch from the equation

He's a match day commentator, not a pundit!

It's Elliot's job to pass opinion on events

I have purposefully not voted in this as I didn't want anyone to think I had a personal agenda... trying to ask the question as fairly as possible,

I'd love to lure him into doing one of his Q&A's on here, someone who uses shitter should suggest it to him.

Although no doubt he reads this forum anyway, but his big ego just ignores all the flack, the way he played quite blatent clips aimed at Stringer by Pearson and he just ignored and papered over them was hilarious last night!

So Mr Ginetta and Mr Stringer are wanting to test the water, by getting some innocent to open up

a thread , hoping to prove their so called large following is not just a falicy.

Poor Mr Stringer still hanging in there.

Voted doing his job, and harmless, I think he's thinks he better than he is, and is trying to get an exclusive from the manager.

My reasoning behind this is because he's that thick, to ask a manager who is under serious pressure, and has been honest to say he'd spoken to the owners, what did they say?, and then push it, after being told it's nothing to do with him.

I think he's full of self importance, or just naive to believe he's a better reporter than he is, that he can get somebody with pearson's attitude to open up, and spill the beans, on what Pearson quite rightly said was a private conversation.

lol

Never even spoken  to Stringer or Ginetta and no, im not influenced by anyone.  . I don't even live in Leicester any more - I moved to the states almost 5 years ago now...

You'll notice I have been very fair in how I have phrased the questions and I genuinely do think having the one place for people to share their opinions and give a definitive response is better than either side claiming to be superior in any way.

He's an annoying twat but his job is to report on what's happening at Leicester City. There was an incident, it was in all the papers so how(and why would he) could he ignore it?

Nobody has said it should be ignored, it's also not just about one incident.

Him and the others at the BBC have turned into tabloid "journalists", stoking fires, chasing headlines. It has been going on for a long time, I've mentioned it on more than one occasion.

Constantly working negative angles through twitter and the phone ins etc. I can see why it's done, they want more listeners and callers to their shows and there is nothing better to get more calls than a negative.

His questioning is poor, with questions we all know won't be answered or badly worded, or just plain rude or stupid.

You only have to see how Pesrson responds to other reporters to see how he opens up to certain questions.

Nobody wants a lap dog to do the managers bidding, but we expect someone who can extract information and have a good enough relationship that there is some trust there with the management. If there is no trust you won't get anything, and that's where we are now.

I've been embarrassed for him, he really does behave like a schoolboy.

Glad he's been showed up for what he is though. Always thought he was a total **** since the apprentice ready to walk over anyone for himself.

Somewhere in between Options 1 and 2.

He's not harmless because, whether you like it or not, he can influence the entire fanbase. However, he is only doing his job.

He needs to take much more care in what he's doing and he needs to ask himself whether damaging the club for airtime really is worth it.

Which is probably the irony of all ironies as that's exactly what Stringer was to Sven as he knew he'd get a sexy quote everytime he interviewed him.

His tongue was so far up his ring piece he could probably still taste Nancy's strap on at times.

I agree. He's come across as a sneaky little kid. He doesn't help our cause at all. City fan? Meh

Even outside of the last few weeks I doubt his understand of the game. He comes across as quite an unarticulated indivudual asking some direct and low level questions - then again thinking of his audience on radio Leicester and those that take the time to phone in, he's approach and attitude is probably spot on.

'Asking the question the fans want answers to' is a phrase used quite often. I don't think he's asked too many questions I've had an interest in over the last few weeks.

He was actually in my class at school for a while, the above is pretty accurate!

He is better than Neville Fulger ( who was a professional egg shell treader) but that said Pete Andre would have been better than him. I enjoy the forums and phone ins. As only way I keep in touch...,.so even though I can get to matches via my team shuttle..... But I do not live close, as I live in some Far far away Galaxy!
