How has Stringer Handled the last few weeks?

Neville Foulger was/is a very good journalist. 

 

There are ways to interview people properly which doesn't rub the interviewee up the wrong way. Phrasing questions correctly is useful and the attitude of the interviewer can make a huge difference.

There isn't really an option that's quite right. I think he's gone a bit overboard but he's certainly not harmless. He's in a position to influence the sheep element of our fanbase and the longer he carries on with the kind of behaviour he's been showing the last few weeks, the worse things are going to get.

I don't normally mind him but the last post match interview made me uncomfortable and the way he's been touting the fan altercation on Twitter and blocked anyone who spoke up against it doesn't sit right with me.

Right now he needs to back off and go back to commentating on the games and doing proper post match interviews while he's still got reasonable people that are willing to listen

Yeah of course there will be people who have no other option, but I'm thinking that RL's listenership must be down substantially this season, which might explain why Stringer is trying to create controversy, it's perhaps the only way they can think of to retain listeners.

Thats fair enough...but the national press have no affiliation to city and couldn't give a fook about the club.

For me its all about incisive and indepth intelligent discussion and analysis of games and performances and less sabre rattling.

 

Unfortunately he's a simple minded conmentator with a childish attitude which is  ok and probably all RL can afford and doesn't have the intelligence, vocabulary or interviewing skills to carry out productive interviews.

Stringer holds an interview and gets nothing useful for the fans out him, he asks moronic questions rather than leading ones.. And in a childlike manner and with a hint of petulance

Add to that his complete inability to commentate well on the actual on the pitch action and surely everyone can see he's a buffoon robbing the public purse.

One thing i will add is that i actually love the passion he has for the club when commentating. He's much better than most of the commentators we have had previously...

It's not his job to whip up hysteria and suggest the manager is under pressure just because he doesn't like him and he wants a good a story, so no he's not just doing his job, he works for Radio Leicester not the Daily Mirror, it's his job to report the news, not make it.

There is more to it than his interview technique why RL have not received any comment from the management or players.

I am not sure where this is going to go, but based on what has gone on, I doubt RL will be back involved for quite some time.

It did appear tonight on the phone in that they put together an audience of several anti Pearson personel, which suited the radio station down to the ground.

If the club refuse to talk to Stringer, it would be good news for the radio station if Pearson was to be sacked. Tonight it appeared they created a forum to try and help him along his way.

To back up my argument of them creating a forum for their own needs, it was quite clear that the people that have a positive view of Pearson (Elliott, Piper and Tannner) didn't get much air time.

In addition there was no mention of the station being ignored by the club. It wasn't even mentioned and you can only assume that all the guests were told they must not bring the issue up.

Typical BBC, shows in a small way how they avoid reporting on what is not good for them. Saville springs to mind.
