StanSP Posted 31 December 2014 Posted 31 December 2014 James Nursey usually on the ball. Reckon he's definitely on his way out. Not Premier League level, yet.
Tielemans63 Posted 31 December 2014 Posted 31 December 2014 Ipswich or Bournemouth would be a great move for Woody.
Kinowe Soorie Posted 31 December 2014 Posted 31 December 2014 I've heard Bournemouth have a talented Frenchman who plays upfront? Maybe a swap deal is on the cards...
jimmeh Posted 31 December 2014 Posted 31 December 2014 Wood as part of a deal for mcgoldrick? No chance. They have a real chance of promotion. They won't sell anyone
Fox92 Posted 31 December 2014 Posted 31 December 2014 Not good enough for us. Not surprised Championship clubs are interested.
Robin JD Popley Posted 31 December 2014 Posted 31 December 2014 Always liked the lad and feel that, long term, he could be a very good player but unfortunately since those early days he has never really found consistency. Still, I will never forget that 'worldie' he scored against Burnley last season. Good luck to him if something comes off!
Sharpe's Fox Posted 31 December 2014 Posted 31 December 2014 I think he's a good player if he plays every week. If you put in him, say, Derby's system I think he'd score as many goals as Chris Martin.
LCCFox96 Posted 31 December 2014 Posted 31 December 2014 Still, I will never forget that 'worldie' he scored against Burnley last season. One of my all time favourite Leicester goals! Sank our closest league rivals and all but guaranteed promotion. "This is Wood. And that is a thunderbolt". Would still prefer a loan for Wood rather than a permanent transfer at this stage to give the chance to showcase what he can do on a regular basis. If it still does not work out for him then we could look to sell or if it does work out the perhaps look at bringing him back into the fold. I'd only want a definite sale if it meant we could reinvest a very decent sum of money into the squad this window (i.e. £1.5million upwards).
Bamba's Babes Posted 31 December 2014 Posted 31 December 2014 Not the answer for us. You go with my best wishes.
dedlock Posted 31 December 2014 Posted 31 December 2014 After a magical start at City he has lost his way. Excepting a good goal at Turf Moor that initial promise has not materialised. We need a couple of goalscorers,Ulloa has made the step up but we can't rely solely on his goals up front.
ScouseFox Posted 31 December 2014 Posted 31 December 2014 didn't quite fit our system last year and clearly isn't good enough for this season. not a bad player by any stretch, though. still young too. are these loan deals like pre season or attempts to sign him?
DB11 Posted 31 December 2014 Posted 31 December 2014 Be worth a loan, if he gets consistent game time in the Championship and is a success he could be useful next year should we not stay up and end up selling Ulloa
6ups 6downs 2 cups Posted 31 December 2014 Posted 31 December 2014 Think a move is probably best for his career, but he will go with everyones best wishes, that Burnley goal will always remain a high.
Dan Posted 31 December 2014 Posted 31 December 2014 I wish him the best of luck but being brutally honest he'll need it. Very limited footballer.
Guest Posted 31 December 2014 Posted 31 December 2014 I wish him the best of luck but being brutally honest he'll need it. Very limited footballer. Have you seen him play for NZ?
Clever Fox Posted 31 December 2014 Posted 31 December 2014 Good luck to him. He needed regular game time to bring on his game which he never got here. Will always remember his goal at Burnley when we needed him.
Tuna Posted 31 December 2014 Posted 31 December 2014 Have you seen him play for NZ? Rory Fallon looks good playing for NZ.
5waller5 Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 This is one of those crazy ones where we see them go on to be great somewhere else. I rate Woody and think it's a great shame he doesn't get more game time .... I just don't see the reason people slate him on here.

Genuine q: Have you seen any player go on to be really good somewhere else after Pearson has shown them the door here? I haven't

Bettsj2 Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 Ben Marshall's decent at Blackburn isn't he He's no better than he was here. Kermorgant is the only example I can think of.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 What you all on about. What about Jermaine Beckford?
