I've received the email now

How do you actually join the refund queue?

The link in the email just takes you to their website, one paragraph on refunds and no link to register for one...

Yeah I've had the same and hit  dead end, so I've called them coonts on twitter instead.

Any response?

I sat on their chat portal for 4 hours as I was working without a response this afternoon lol

No, they are a horrendous company. Loathe to use them but flying to Ibiza out of season is too tempting to use them, easyjet will be just as bad to get back from as well no doubt.

I believe they are meant to refund you within 7 days of the flight being cancelled? I'll have to check this, and once all my refunds are into my account, make various complaints based on this.

Easyjet have finally put an online form for refunds after weeks of only offering a change in flights or a voucher.

The bit at the end says. Don't contact unless no response in 90 days lol

the trouble with Ryanair is a bad reputation doens't seem to bother them. They know they're coonts anyway. And when this is all over, if Ryanair's fare to Rome or wherever is £30 rather than BA's £180 then everyone will go flocking back to them.

As it stands, my flights to Norway in May haven't been cancelled yet, so I can't even start the process of getting a voucher!

This is it, people (myself included) will always put up with them as people love a bargain in comparison. We then kick off when treated badly but it's no surprise!

Has anyone tried getting their travel insurance money back for either individual or annual polices, can we even?

As i'm seeing it most of us are having to do all the leg work ourselves in going after refunds & not been able to have the break in the first place & therefore never requiring to insure during the pre-planned time is it still required as holidays / flights are cancelled, they only tell us to go direct or via credit cards anyway.

Forgetting their present Stands in reembursment,Why do you consider In your terms Ryanair coonts...

They Challenged the Big boys fairs.

They enabled normal People to be able to afford to Fly to Foreign destinations

They stayed cheap,by saying you pay singularly & individually for your required services.

They became the Jeeps and ferries of Short stay,Short haul flights.

Many families can Now afford to travel to spend decent regular Time with their Now own Foreign-Living young relations..

I Love and respect Everything Ryanair have done .

It is/was only the snobbish Middle Classes who Made Sure the media, cynically put down on them...

To fly  for £8-100...at First with a quick simple snack( on offer)... I reckon some customers forget what Dan-Air & Ryanair brought to the table..

Their baggage costs were for a long time, still Cheaper than any other Airlines.Probably still are...!!

I have Not One serious individual complaint since their beginning to make against them....Either for my Parents travel to us,later taking Care of my mam, wenn travelling alone to all parts of Europe,or ourselves to them to UK...Nor our own booked flights for our own & Childrens organised holidays.

Sometimes 4 different  People can buy a similar car,or Fly by the same airline, book a package holiday,on occasions they all  will have varying experiences..

I have Travelled Using Ryanair for leasure and business(for any of my over the years present companies)...More convenient than some, definitely Not worse than others.

My Personal Experience for short haul flights,One of my Top 3 Airlines..

...oh & Ryanair Now on reimbursment are just one of many others Not " playing the game"

generally speaking I agree. I've flown with Ryanair many times and have never had any problems. I was only making the point that in terms of company image, they don't much care what people think of them. If ever the term "no such thing as bad publicity" suited a company - it's Ryanair!

Hahaha they've got some cheek, promised refunds being processed only to email vouchers instead and making it nigh on impossible to apply for the same cash refund you'd already been confirmed to being processed. You cannot call their helpline as it cuts you off and there's no clickable further option in getting a refund online even though they say there is. Abuse on twitter hasn't yielded anything yet so I think it's dog shit in the post next.

I used to use them all the time but try to avoid them as much as possible now. It's all about knowing what you get with them. If you expect anything extra or don't understand their way of operating, then you'll struggle. If you fly solo with no baggage they are perfect. A family holiday is pretty chaotic. If anything doesn't go to plan they are also not the best to deal with. Customer service is woeful. Having said that, there are other airlines just as bad.

However, it's no secret that they are not a highly rated employer.

With RyanAir, you’re buying no frills. We’ve got to expect a no frills approach in return if we’re honest.

Not forgetting customers, from all nations trying it on..!! Demanding things that were Not offered, trying on every Flight (I was on) to bring on suitcases,or more handluggage than allowed... It works both ways..!!  You get what you pay for,Why should you get or even expect more.

The only comparable,Maybe slightly better (IMO) was Monarch-airlines,but that was in Another time..

Yes exactly, if you know the drill, Ryanair works for you. If you try to bend their rules they will get you.

I used Monarch once I think and I thought they were decent, similar to Ryanair but that little bit better. Obviously their business model was not as good.

Well as predicted, my Ryanair flight to Oslo on May 7th has just been cancelled.

I was able to log in to the booking, select the "get refund" option and apply for a refund - but it sounds like I won't actually get my money back? That's probably ok though, as long as I get a voucher that'll have to do for me. I really can't be arsed to try and battle with them. It sounds like the offering of a voucher is a de facto refund anyway. From what I've read even claimbacks on your credit card aren't working - presumably because the credit card companies would be effectively bailing out the airlines with no guaranteed prospect of getting the money back from them!

Has anybody booked directly with a hotel abroad? I'm only getting offered credit vouchers at hotels including large chains. There doesn't seem to be much information online about whether they legally have to give a cash refund if they cancel my room.

worth going one day?

I went at the end of February to watch Werder Bremen play Dortmund. It's an unremarkable city, nothing special. But it we got return flights and 2 nights at a 3 star hotel for £99, so why not. The stadium was good too. If you find a similar deal it's worth going for a weekend.

I've had my hotel money refunded by onthebeach but I reckon it will take ages for Ryanair to reimburse them for the flights. I can't get it from them until they get it from them....

Yes, I had a non-refundable booking with a hotel in Ibiza and they tried to claim that because it was non-refundable I was only entitled to booking another date at their discretion. I reminded them that the non-refundable part is based on that we as the consumer can't cancel and get our money back but if the hotel cancels the booking or is closed then that's not the consumers fault. They sent the money back within 48 hours. That's the only success I've had so far. Waiting on Ryanair and EasyJet for the flights to and from Ibiza and then my weeks package holiday to Zante with TUI this month. They are all playing silly beggars in terms of being able to get hold of them, will be a tedious process this.

Thanks. I've been trying to find definitive law on it but haven't had much success surprisingly.

I'll wait til they cancel the booking.

34 years ago I got engaged in Bremen....

My Darling Wife still has the ring...  Unique Design und Made over the long weekend we were there..Jeweller who designed all their own rings.

They were in the old Town.

Bremen was totally destroyed in the War,but they rebuilt, nearly all their older houses & famous buildings...

Maybe Not so hectic as Hamburg, though Hanseatic brothers.

Both are "Frei stadt"...City only answerable for its own admin, financial, organisation,no County- ties.

If you have time, also go out of Bremen,go to Bremen-Haven and Cuxhaven...On The River Weser..so Boat trips galore..

Werder-Bremen & Otto Rehagel (successful coach, also for the European- Champions Greece) were a strong Club and played some Great football,

if you go in the season, try and get tickets...

There are a few good Tea-Houses ( tea-trading was big business).. Quaint  is the the Teestuebchen, but there are more Tea houses, all having their own twist,

Plus nice and homely...You want to do a self-education,Tea House crawl, Drinking all various types, various presentations, this is the town...

Though the Coffee Houses arent bad either..Then for the more civilised,One can participate in a gud ol' Beck's (Haake-Beck) beer tour...

Bottcherstrasse only 110 meters, area Schnoor  in the Altstadt. German old building architecture,a must do a Photo with the Bronze Stadtmusikanten..

Then if you like a Good museum, go to the Uebersee-museum,Bremen was One of Great Trading Centers of europe, you can go around the world, when you visit

The Uebersee - museum......A Snippet of what to expect...

Anyone got any experience of cycling self guided tours in holland?

Would like to get back over to get some games in once we can get ferries and the football is back. But thinking of staying a bit longer and maybe cycling between the cities instead of using the train.
