ScouseFox Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 wouldn't mind that at all, the fact he's only 27 has blown my mind. assumed he'd been past his best cos he was getting on at spurs for about 3 years .
MPH Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Im pretty pessimistic of getting any player a few other teams are interested in.
Gary Eatfood Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Good old Mirror... "Pochettino will make a cut-price bid in January to sign Aston Villa's Fabian Delph, who is also a target for Loverpool."
StanSP Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Reckon he might go West Ham if there's serious interest. I'd love for us to attract him here and for him to play with us especially if Defoe is here - they could link up well. Were they at Spurs together? I can't help but think we're being linked with him just because 2 of our wingers are absent this month.
Thommo Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Thought it was Neil...but honestly would love 2 see Aaron at Leicester ..can it happen ..YES if we show ambition to be a lasting premier club. Why are stoke front runners??? Come on Leicester sort it out..
cjslcfc Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 27 has got to be a typo. Aaron Lennon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 The players are available out there to see us out of relegation trouble and Aaron Lennon would be one. Can we pay the money it would take to get him here and do the owners want to gamble on survival by chucking the money at guys like this to get them here? Time will tell but I'm pessimistic that we'd be willing to offer significantly more money that would be required to get him here ahead of clubs like the other three mentioned.
ScouseFox Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Why do people think he's in his 30's???? i just assumed he became a bit part player at spurs (over the last 2 or 3 years) because he was getting on a bit. why's he wasting the "peak" of his career being in spurs' reserves?
Tuna Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Stoke already have Victor Moses, Assiaidi etc, they don't need him. He needs to go somehwere wehere he;'ll playe very week, IE US.
MC Prussian Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 27 has got to be a typo. Feels like he's been around forever, mainly thanks to him breaking onto the scene so early. Imagine, his first Premier League goal scored at age 17 1/2, scored his first for Spurs only a month shy of his 19th birthday.
cjslcfc Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 At 27 he can refind his best form, his legs aren't anywhere near going. If we want to play a fast counter attacking game I'd argue he's perfect.
shailen Posted 3 January 2015 Posted 3 January 2015 he broke into the leeds team when he was 17, the season they got relegated I think. Please can we sign him, he is quality and would tear apart most defences in this league.
Bamba's Babes Posted 3 January 2015 Posted 3 January 2015 Would be a fantastic signing but one which we have next to no chance of completing... unless we nab Defoe and he convinces him...
Guest bss9401 Posted 3 January 2015 Posted 3 January 2015 He would be a fantastic signing. Just what we need.
PAULCFC Posted 3 January 2015 Posted 3 January 2015 Him and Defoe seem to be mate's......so i can see both happening. We seem to get players who know each other or at least speak the same language(Drinky,James.....Leo,Camb).
AKCJ Posted 3 January 2015 Posted 3 January 2015 Why do people think he's in his 30's???? He played against us in the 4-0 game against Leeds 10 years ago.
ADK Posted 3 January 2015 Posted 3 January 2015 I'd rather have Dyer back for 6 months. Our money would be better spent elsewhere. A loan would be a possibility.
