Captain... Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 At least convicted rapist Ched Evans might not be on the front pages for a few days. Satirical cartoon idea Ched Evans the prophet Mohammed and a hotel room, can anyone out there draw?
Guest MattP Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 Satirical cartoon idea Ched Evans the prophet Mohammed and a hotel room, can anyone out there draw? As if Mohammed would get into bed with a guy of Ched Evans' age.
Captain... Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 As if Mohammed would get into bed with a guy of Ched Evans' age. But at least he wouldn't be too drunk to consent.
Harry - LCFC Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 Sure, not all Muslims are responsible. But very few people think they are. Attempts to protect the majority of the Muslim population from being attacked by words should not get in the way of protecting the majority of the French population from being attacked by violent murderers. Too often I get the impression that some people are prioritising the wrong one.
Jon the Hat Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 What and put so many innocent people at risk? It we were that desperate to protect free speech we shouldn't have invited so many people from places across the World who don't tolerate free speech when it comes to thier own religion. NOP conducted a large poll of British Muslims after the Danish Cartoons incidents a few years ago.... http://ukpollingreport.co.uk/blog/archives/291 What are they going to do about it? It would disprove the notion that our countries are teeming with people just waiting to attack us.
Jon the Hat Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 I agree with this, but then it is not me that would be in the firing line if it happened. Would you be willing to tweet an anti Islamic cartoon on a public account that is in your name and is linked to your home address? I would if everyone else did. That is the point, strength in numbers.
yorkie1999 Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 At least convicted rapist Ched Evans might not be on the front pages for a few days. Or Steven Gerrard
Guest MattP Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 What are they going to do about it? It would disprove the notion that our countries are teeming with people just waiting to attack us. And what happens when you do that and all of a sudden we have loads of Muslim protestors demonstrating (there was a large one outside the Danish embassy in London) about it or even worse a Newspaper HQ being firebombed or worse an incident like France today? I've just been reading a few of the Dawah pages on Facebook, there isn't much sympathy from the posters there towards the editors of this magazine for being shot, the top liked comment is basically a 'reap what you sew' type point. As I pointed in in the survey I posted on the last page, the vast majority of British Muslims firmly believe anyone who prints these things should be prosecuted, you think they'll all just let it pass it every newspaper carries it on the front page tomorrow?

Guest MattP Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 It is time they understood the laws of the country they live in then isn't it. It certainly is but when we've spent the last twenty years bending, ignoring or changing our laws to suit them in everything from food standards to sharia courts and marriage that's something easier said than done. They won't understand why we just can't change another. There are 3 million of them here and that's a number only going to rapidly increase given their birth rates, we simply can't do things that are going to piss off a large percentage of them.
The Railway Man Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 Some strange logic in murdering 12 journalists for publishing cartoons depicting followers of the Prophet Mohammed as bloodthirsty barbarians.
bovril Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZZ96SArpuc Christopher Hitchens on the Danish cartoon controversy in 07.
Dr The Singh Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 Some strange logic in murdering 12 journalists for publishing cartoons depicting followers of the Prophet Mohammed as bloodthirsty barbarians. oh the irony!!
The Doctor Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 Some strange logic in murdering 12 journalists for publishing cartoons depicting followers of the Prophet Mohammed as bloodthirsty barbarians. Wasn't it a depiction of the leader of ISIS? If you expect logic and rational response from followers of an organisation that distributes material explaining how to keep sex slaves, and kills anyone who disagrees with it, then you'll be waiting a while.
Dr The Singh Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 Sorry just reading that article Only 29% of British Muslims believe the Holocaust occured.
Dr The Singh Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 We should do this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-india-30706431
Bettsj2 Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 We should do what we always do. Be angry about it venting our frustration online about how Islam is taking over and then, well just go back to living our lives.
lavrentis Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 We should do this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-india-30706431 he's right but british people
purpleronnie Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 he's right but british people Just like the british people who caused 7/7.
Jordan Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 Utterly disgusting. I'm proud of the French people for the way they took to the streets and city squares tonight to mourn and to show support for press freedom.
MC Prussian Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 Ugh. Just watched the execution of the copper. Barbarism. Savages. How anyone can think they are going to paradise for carrying out such acts? Have we established or proved the attackers are actually Muslim? So far, I have seen pictures and videos of two guys with Kalashnikovs, in full black combat gear, masked. Apart from some Arab words uttered during the attack, the true identities have yet to be determined.
Guest MattP Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 The amount of Muslims on the Sky News comments celebrating and defending this is really appalling.

I just can't think of any group other than Islamic extremists who would carry out an attack as a result of what they saw from Charlie Hebdo.
marko Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 Don't know if we have anyone good at translating French? Apparently says who the suspects are. http://www.metronews.fr/info/attentat-a-charlie-hebdo-les-trois-suspects-ont-ete-identifies/moag!6R1qjYdgLbxjQ/
