ADK Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 If it's anyone recent I'm thinking Mark De Vries fits.
foxfanazer Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 Wouldn't be Matt Fryatt surely he has better things to be doingWhat like not scoring goals at F-word?
Donut Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 A few clues (perhaps) from his introduction: Mangers who should have known better: Around at a time when there was unrest in the dressing room? A talented player that couldnt fit into a managers philosophy? Player who didnt want to leave but was sold? Maybe played out of position a lot? It was rarely boring/Initiation Ceremonies: The club wasnt as professional in its outlook as it is now? The dressing room was full of "characters" at that time? Backed up by talking about drink and drugs. Sounds like someone who particularly liked being here too. Im thinking who it could be
foxfanazer Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 I think Ian Walker is a possibilityDecent shout that. Didn't really fall out of favour with us very often though did he?
StanSP Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 I'll guess at Benjamin Blue Moon is gonna go mental at you when he puts his mortgage on this and it turns out it's not him.
Donut Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 Decent shout that. Didn't really fall out of favour with us very often though did he? No he didnt really have a fall out, youre right. I think things hint that his career went downwards after playing for Leicester. Managers who "should have known better" must have underachieved in his eyes some how, or not given him a fair crack at things. "could have become a legend"....... maybe could have been a younger player at the time? another thought for me is possibly Matt Heath?
Kitchandro Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 Robbie Savage? Nah. Remember Savage thinks he's an all time legend here, unlike the author.
Soar Fox Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 Nobody. They are making it up so people by the paper hoping to work out who it is.
Grewks Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 The Booze and Drugs section makes me think the guy isn't playing anymore. I mean the amount of tests players have to go through now means they would have been outed/outed other players at the time. Obviously the fact 'it was never boring' and the fact he also uses the plural 'managers' means he was here during a period of upheaval. The question is...which one? O'neill - Taylor Mandaric initial era or the Pearson - Sousa - Sven era?
5waller5 Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 I'd be guessing at someone in the Martin Allen era .... Which isn't really helping to narrow it down much!!!
Webbo Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 . I’d love to pretend you’ll know me. That I’m a household name in scores of Leicester City-supporting homes across the city and the county for my awesome feats in a blue shirt, that young boys playing football in their back gardens today pretend to be me because I was such a City legend. The truth is, I’m not. In other words he's not a well known player. He's obviously retired if he's talking about drugs. Like others have said Sam McMahon sounds plausible.
Mark_w Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 'The truth is, I’m not. I could have been, perhaps, if it wasn’t for occasional dips in form (never that much, if you’re asking me) and managers who should have known better but didn’t.' screams Waggy, but, 'I’d love to pretend... that young boys playing football in their back gardens today pretend to be me because I was such a City legend', suggests either it isn't or someone needs to tell him about me ASAP.
