I am still in shock...no not because they lost, but that our cream of youngsters, allowed themselves to get into muddledmind

syndrom, and allowed them into old traits, of chasing balls wide out off stump, or high bouncers that can be left alone.

THIS GENERATION ALLOWED itself to be conned, just like the older generation.

103 collapsed,!!!?? I really do think we should of expected 280-360 fight out.

If they feel depressed or down, let me kick them when they are down...they should. They let their fans and themselves down.

The bowlers, our top bowlers and coaches also must be questioned on not showing flexabilty in deliveries.

That game was lost after losing the toss and conceeding 566-8. Not bothered they capitulated, move on, 8 days ago we'd absolutely hammered them.

Really feel Lyth's getting a lot of unwarranted stick. Yes, he's played some daft shots but he's clearly talented. Just needs someone to have a wrod with him about not playing at stuff he doesn't need to.

Just hope we've learned our lesson in what we ask the groundstaff to prepare now though. If you want dead wickets you've got to back yourself to win the toss every game or you're fvcked.

i would go with

cook

moeen

ballance

root

bairstow

stokes

buttler

rashid

broad

wood

anderson

I know moeen hasnt really worked out as an opener but I would like to give him another try. lets face it, cant be any worse than lyth!

This also provides room for rashid.

Bairstow has been scoring quite well in county, having checked, so would be my option to replace bell if selectors choose to do so.

Lets say, no major changes..

Lets say we keep majority players in.

lets say, Ballance is sacrificed, then I go with Shane Warnes idea, Bell moves to 3, its his ground.

Everyone top 6 moves up 1, with Rashid coming in.

This does not finish Ballance,I still see him taking n03 after Bell.

If Bell hangs on he should be given the end off ashes series, even more if he hits back with runs.

A failing Bell in 3rd test, his place should be up for grabs...imo Bairstow or Taylor.Even think again of Morgan.

Lythe gets next test, he scores again under 20 in both Innings, his place should become available...imo Hales.

The rest keep their places until Ashes end.

It might be the base of the squad earn their right to go into 2016..

Now something Taboo...

Lets think about the future of our top 3 pace bowlers.

Australia always have 2-4 in the background, who are given games.Ditto for SA and indians.

If last test was a one off, no major questions asked, but back up bowlers need more motivation.

If Anderson, Wood, Broad take some wickets but fail to be threatening, I believe a redesign and re-think should be made.

Just one of the above being reasonable/avg is not enough.

This has been my thoughts since before the last Ashes, England need to step up the dangerous levels of our strike bowlers.

We havent seen for sometime, while playing top 3 teams, 2/3 bowlers hitting their hights.

Where is our next new top 2 opening bowlers coming from.

Taylor and Bairstow's tactically timed big scores will certainly put the cat amongst the pigeons. Bell may just get one more test because it's his home ground, although I certainly wouldn't pick him.

If it's going to turn as much as talked about I would go with:

Cook

Lyth

Root

Bairstow

Stokes

Buttler

Moeen

Rashid

Wood

Broad

Anderson

Even if it turns do we really need Moeen and Rashid? Root can pretty much do the job Mooen does from the other end. We can't really put Ali up the order given his problems with the new ball short and weakening the batting just isn't an option for me at the minute anyway.

I still think Bairstow should come in for balance but I'm starting to think we should maybe leave the bowlers, they performed superbly at Cardiff and should one realy flat wicket result in change? I don't think so having had some time to think about it.

The girlies start today as well, good luck to them.

Ballance will come back, of that I am sure, but he had to be taken out of the firing line, I actually dont think it was the

Aussies, I just think he had not only lost the line, but he wasnt seeing it well.Importantly for him he seemed to lost his batting belief at this level.

Bairstow, either him or Taylor, any replacement had to get a place, not for a bench sitter.

MOEN so far has done nothing wrong, but if he drops his batting stats below 20, and if he went 2 innings not taking wickets, or each wicket costs too many runs, then nothing exceptional he needs to always earn his right, then his place would be in Danger.

IF we see wickets from our pace attack and compete, then Moen will succeed.

Somehow, I have at present no idea how, but would love to see Rashid, make his Ashes Debut this year, without it being a panic selection, but in a successfull run.,

Another great knock from Bairstow seeing Yorkshire to victory today from a potentially dangerous position, 74* off 51. Hope he takes this incredible form into Edgbaston next week, really can do no wrong at the moment

If Moeen Ali grows his beard a bit longer he'll be able to protect his wicket with it. You can't be out BBW.

My favourite LBW decisions (what do you mean you don't have a favourite??) is when Tendulkar got out LBW after it hit his arm :D

Poor old Sachin.

So if you can be out ABW then I'm guessing BBW or even CBW could see you on your way back to the pavilion.

I hope you've treated Mrs KKP to an evening of your top 100 LBW decisions!

Mrs KKP is thankfully a very forgiving person
