Swarles Barkley Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 The scorecard is ridiculous. Everyone out for single figures except warner who has 62!
Guest MattP Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Finn the Great. Feel for the fans who have day 3 and 4 tickets though.
StanSP Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Doesn't feel like this is only the second day! Great series to watch so far.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Gonna be hard for the Aussies to turn this around before the next test, especially as TB is another good ground for us with another vocal crowd. Surely they have to drop Voges?
TheSomersetFox Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Finny's first innings figures did him absolutely no justice either, so happy for him (and us) that he's finally back.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 They'll be refunded for Days 3 and 4 wont they Finners? My mate says they could play til 730pm tonight? Is this true?
purpleronnie Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Finn the Great. Feel for the fans who have day 3 and 4 tickets though. we dont do 5 day tests anymore Warner is fantastic but unfortunately no other aussies seems to be able to handle these pitches. isn't test match cricket great.
Corky Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 We're inconsistent as anything but when we're good we're fantastic. No middle ground with us. So pleased for Finn who has been fvcked around far too much.
StanSP Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 They'll be refunded for Days 3 and 4 wont they Finners? My mate says they could play til 730pm tonight? Is this true? If they think a result is definitely possible they'll extend play. Possibly til 7, maybe not half 7.
TheSomersetFox Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 I can imagine Voll is hoping for a mammoth partnership here
Swarles Barkley Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Great day for england. In an ideal world australia get another 50/60odd tomorrow and lyth can get a good score on the board and build his confidence
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Massive loss of revenue for Warwickshire with no weekend cricket, makes no sense starting a test match on a Wednesday (to me anyway)
Voll Blau Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 I can imagine Voll is hoping for a mammoth partnership here Happy to put the nation's needs before mine. :englandsmile4wf: Massive loss of revenue for Warwickshire with no weekend cricket, makes no sense starting a test match on a Wednesday (to me anyway) Yep, very strange.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 If the Aussies manage to scrape a lead above 100 there will be a few nervy batsman should England lose a couple of early wickets. Hope Jimmy is rested tomorrow to give him a chance for Trent Bridge.
Guest MattP Posted 31 July 2015 Posted 31 July 2015 What a great position to be in, the pitch even looked to be flattening out last 90 minutes. So pleased for Finn.
Mint23 Posted 31 July 2015 Posted 31 July 2015 Massive loss of revenue for Warwickshire with no weekend cricket, makes no sense starting a test match on a Wednesday (to me anyway) They only start a test on Wednesdays when they have back to back tests 2 weekends running, it just gives the players an extra days rest before Trent Brudge next Thursday, a couple of years back we had a test that started on a Friday at the Rosebowl - no that was weird, day 4 happening in a Mondsy?!
leicsmac Posted 31 July 2015 Posted 31 July 2015 Additionslly, Warwickshire are fully insured against early finishes from both the ticketing and food-based loss of revenue standpoint.
Guest MattP Posted 31 July 2015 Posted 31 July 2015 As if Mikey just made a black up joke in the commentary box.
martyn Posted 31 July 2015 Posted 31 July 2015 Going to be chasing something we could easily stuff up here.
