ealingfox Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Did get excited at full time yesterday but then remembered Arsenal, Man United, Liverpool and West Ham are all still in it. We're pretty much guaranteed to avoid all the lower league sides and draw one of them or West Brom or Palace away. As for the trophy vs survival thing, it would be amazing to win the Cup but it's been pretty cringe watching Birmingham and Wigan in the Europa League as Championship sides, and being in it would almost certainly detriment our chances of promotion next season. Desperate to see us in Europe as I was too young when Atletico and Red Star happened, but there's little point turning up as cannon fodder.

leicesterisme Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Anyway so when we've won the FA Cup who would you want in the Europa League Group Stages? Oh shit yeah I didn't even think it would mean us in Europe aswell, would be incredible.
MC Prussian Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Bon appetit. I suppose that was my appetizer. Now where's the hors d'oeuvre?
The Blue Moon Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Anyway so when we've won the FA Cup who would you want in the Europa League Group Stages? Partizan Belgrade Sheriff Tiraspol Galatasaray
ealingfox Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 If the method of survival was AGUERROOOOOOOOO-esque I think that would push it above winning the Cup. You'd remember that just as much as a Cup final.
Crinklyfox Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 It's all about glory - which we would have if we won the F A Cup. Twenty years down the line it would be all that would be remembered from the season.
Deucalion Posted 25 January 2015 Author Posted 25 January 2015 At the risk of getting called a dopy kant, even if we were relegated to League One, at least we could try and win the Johnston Paint Trophy.
Harry - LCFC Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Staying up FFS look at Wigan - League One next season after a procession of useless managers !!! We're not Wigan. Some people don't seem to realise that they're actually a pretty small club. Their PL stay was always likely to be their last PL stay. It won't be with us.
Raj Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Its all about watching on sky for some people and how much money the club make whilst being in the premier league...so they can reduce ticket prices for the punters ...Oh hang on......
Dan Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 I answered the question. You're only arsed about money. How depressing. Kidding yourself.

AKCJ Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Imagine this scenario... It's the year 2048. Leicester City are playing in the WLS (World League Soccer) after yanks take over the globe. We've just played the 3rd quarter and the cheerleaders and t-shirt cannoners are parading the pitch. The Birch comes out to do his usual chit-chats (he died some time before but was brought back to life via new technology). He says "Now please welcome the Leicester side of the 2014/15 season... these lads finished a magnificent 17th in the old Premier League". I guarantee your kids or grandkids will look to you and say "who?!". In fact, I guarantee you'd say "who?!" Now imagine that the Birch welcomes The F.A. Cup winning side of 2015 there'd be raucous applause and the elderly will be saying "I was there when we won the greatest cup competition in Football". Probably there'll be tears of joy as we reminisce with each other in the stands. Kids named Esteban, Riyad or Marcin will meet their parent's heroes.
Guest Bilo Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Rijeka Genk Cluj Genk and Cluj sound like chavvy euphemisms for fanny.
foxfanazer Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Some of the posts that get deleted on here and then you have this!
Gary Eatfood Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Could we televise the big fight? Will it be classed as the fight for survival or will there be a trophy awarded to the victor?
O_R_FOX Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Cup without a doubt. Change our history forever and I've always dreamed about doing a European away, I was too young when we were last in it. That's said, my sister is getting married on May 30th this year, which is giving me terrible nightmares!
theessexfox Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Why do you care about the money from Prem survival, it's not going into your pocket..?
Raj Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Oh mod did you have to go deleting...I've not laughed so much since the fart thread!!!!!

Dan Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Club Brugge Malaga Copenhagen I'd have to go all three of those. Bloody hell. No doubt we'd draw Krasnodar, Hapoel Tel-Aviv and Shakhter Karagandy.
shailen Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Look at what happened to Birmingham City. They won the Carling cup and got relegated the same season. They have struggled to stay in the Championship and are playing a horrible brand of football
