Guest seanfox778 Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 I'm so looking forward to this, for some reason it feels like we haven't played in weeks.
english77 Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 I just hope we win as I'm flying over from Paris for this but I will be surounned by Man u fans invited in the VIP bit but I'll be cherring when we score
LanguedocFox Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Laurenson is predicting 3-0 to Man U: http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2015/01/31/mark-lawrenson-predicts-manchester-united-leicester-city/ That's evened up the odds in our favour.
RowlattsFox Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Long shot but is anyone on the 10.47 from preston into manchester?
KFS Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 I think Kramaric is key today. He'll be an unknown quantity to United. We know how little prep Van Gaal did on us last time, so let them focus on Vardy while he floats into spaces.
Finn Claw II Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Vardy? He's been a bit pants of late but do you play him because of what he did against them at home? I'd go with pace and hope to score on the counter attack.
foxfanazer Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Really looking forward to this game. Zero expectancy so the pressures off and thats when we seem to thrive. Their defence must still be having nightmares about Vardy and now they'll have Krama to deal with. Think we'll narrowly lose but put in a good performance 1-3

shailen Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Had dinner with a United season ticket holder tonight. He's delighted that Carrick is injured because, as much as he rates him, United play too slow against the smaller clubs when he starts. He says that Herrera will play and we won't be able to live with them. Big, big test for the City midfield whoever starts really. Do united not appreciate a player like Carrick. He is the one that sets up attacks, and wins the ball. A bit like a quarter back position. The reason United struggle is because of the formation they play. If teams sit back and invite them to attack there is little space because their formation is focused around central areas. Only one player on either side operates the wings, so they're always outnumbered and there is no out ball as such. Which is why it seems like united play a slow tempo.
st albans fox Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 this may sound weird but with united playing a back 3 they always seem to look vunerable against pace down the sides id really be tempted to go for 3-5-2 this game with 2 decent holding midfielders and speed down the flanks and a good link between the cam and the strikers -------------------------------------schzwar----------------------------------- ------------moore----------------wes-------------------was----------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- de laet--------------------------------------------------------------schlupp---- -----------------------cambiasso--------james--------------------------------- ----------------------------------nugent----------------------------------------- ----------------------vardy--------------------krameric--------------------------- If that side starts we will lose the game 3-0, whatever the result later !
theessexfox Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 I think it'll be: Hamer Simpson Wasilewski Morgan Konchesky King Hammond Drinkwater Nugent Kramaric Ulloa With Nugent dropping back into midfield, though I could easily see Vardy in for one of the other two strikers and Cambiasso in for one of the midfielders. I'd go: Schwarzer Simpson Wasilewski Morgan De Laet Albrighton Hammond CambiassoSchlupp Kramaric Ulloa

LCCFox96 Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Hoping for Cambiasso and Hammond in midfield today if fitness allows. Its the most effective combination in James' absence.
Kitchandro Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Really looking forward to this game. Zero expectancy so the pressures off and thats when we seem to thrive. Their defence must still be having nightmares about Vardy and now they'll have Krama to deal with. Think we'll narrowly lose but put in a good performance 1-3 That's not how I see it. It's irrelevant that we're playing Man Utd, lose or even draw and we risk being several points adrift again. Make no mistake, the pressure is on to win. A gallant defeat is no good for us, I'm expecting us to have a game plan to win the match.
Kitchandro Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 No no no no no! We have ****ed up so many times this years shutting up shop with a 1-0 lead, against some big teams we have shut up shop at 0-0. Been OK in the FA cup however when we have shut up shop in the prem the pressure we have invited upon ourselves has been overwhelming and ultimately cost us. This. Shutting up shop is not an option for us.
Callabinho Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 It's impossible for us to win this isn't it?
phildw Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 First thrashing of the season for us I fear. Possibly 5 or 6 today.
Benguin Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Mark my words you are all about to be stunned. This will be the game of the season! 6-1 city
