So 1 win and we are out of the relegation zone

1 win will see us out of the bottom 3. Why are we panicking?

Statistically there is still a lot of hope and a lot of teams have been in worse positions than we are now. At least we have 19 points instead of 10.

Call it intuition but I see a change of fortune for us. We need to stay positive and encourage the players.

People are having a go at the manager again, yet forget how equally woeful the teams around us have been so far and that with so-called "proven Premier League managers" at the helm.

Or maybe the league's just a tiny bit more competitive and tougher than your average Championship.

Looking forward to the Crystal Palace home game next weekend, as we definitely need and are required to show strength and willpower to get three valuable points.

Not quite that simpe though is it, you see, in the name of fairness, all the teams get to play as well, so if they pick up points then its not really just one win. We need to gain 3/4 points on all the other teams, some which have picked up due to changing managers, and we have some tough games coming up. People have been saying this for some time now, and the games are gradually running out. Yes, its more than achievable, but only if we start games with the intention of trying to win, we need Pearson to think outside his very pigheaded small box and start picking the team and formation that gives us the best chance of winning, but as he has failed to do this in 90% of games I doubt this will happen.

I don't think we will get relegated if only because I think we are better than QPR, Hull, Villa and Burnley. We need to beat Palace next weekend and pick up a point against Everton after we beat Villa in the Cup. I'm still confident we will be playing Premier League football next season.

It doesnt matter if we think we are better then X,Y or Z if they continue to have more points than us. The only positive for me is getting Mahrez back, which coupled hopefully with James and Cambiassio back in CM we may just create some chances for the front two to see what they can do.

Those in glass houses mate........

Yesterday was a prime example of why fans would question our abilities, forget others, we need to tackle out own demons first

From Crystal palace and below anyone can get relegated. Not any one of teams are better thathen us. It's anyone's guess as to who goes down from them teams. We are probably the most likely because we are going to have to get more points than any other team. But we have the best run in towards the end of the season. It's going to be tight either way.

Nice to see a positive thread after the shocking and surprising devastation of losing to United away from home lol

We are still in this.

When in the relegation zones, the question you have to ask yourself is do we look like a team that's capable of winning two games on the bounce - and I'm not prepared to say 'no' yet.

The problem we have is our upcoming fixtures being a bit tough and makes Palace a big game.

Now we've lost to man u I'm hoping our form does the opposite of what happened when we beat them earlier in the season.

Still plenty of time to push onwards and upwards.

Not the end of the world if we go down. Its not exactly much fun scrapping for an occasional point week in week out and feeling depressed when we get beaten. Premier League football is the most overrated thing in the world.

Problem is there are too many in this forum who would rather see us relegated and be able to crow about telling you so all summer than have us stay up and push on next season. The owners have invested on a massive scale throughout the club. Maybe we do bring in more in the next 24hrs maybe we won't but do not think it isn't through lack of trying.

The people that appear happy to see us go down are ones with the 'He deserves the season' argument. I wanted a change 3 months ago when it was clear he was well out his depth, but its too late now, we just have to hope he gets it right in a least 3-4 of the remaining 16 games, but I aint expecting much.

We have just lost to Stoke and United. Two games we won in the first half of the season. We are about to go on a 13 match unbeaten run :scarf:

He does deserve the season, in both spells he's restored our dignity, he deserves a fair crack at this division, and after a decade out we're all learning what it means to be a premiership team. If he'd gone post qpr, fair enough, but at this point we still look capable of staying up, and wins at burnley, at home to palace, qpr and hull are hardly far fetched. Besides, who would you have replaced him with - pulis the footballing messiah thanks to one season? Lennon, unproven outside of an spl that Celtic just had to turn up to to win in the absence of rangers?

Easier said than done.

It will go down to the wire with regards to our position, QPR at home that is the f**king relegation/survival decider.

Only for QPR our fate will already be sorted by then.

Check out everyones fixtures rather have our fixtures than burnley qpr and hull and not to sure villa have a good run in either.

We will be down or safe by the time we play qpr.

We will have no last day drama other than our result seals qpr's fate.
