Wilson_6 Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Michael Owen (the second most boring man in football) is sure we along with QPR and Burnley will be relegated http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2015/02/04/michael-owen-predicts-queens-park-rangers-to-suffer-relegation-f/? This is my favourite bit of the peice " Leicester look doom and gloom. The Foxes have been arguably the worst team in the Premier League so far this campaign, and there are no discernible signs of improvements." i may be biased but is that not just a load of crap. Its like they have literally looked at the table and gone there bottom they must be useless.
Ric Flair Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Astonishing given he's likely to have seen the Liverpool v Leicester game at Anfield on NYD. Admittedly we've been guff a lot more than a lot of our fans will accept but to the occasional neutral we have also looked quality at times and there's a fair few pundits out there that still think we're going to be ok. Owen is a bit of a helmet anyway.
EnderbyFox Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 My favourite Michael Owen commentary quotes “What a feeling it is to be a manager and bring someone on.” “It’s a good run but it’s a poor run, if you know what I mean?” “It’s a nightmare for strikers when defences push up. You’ve got to go with them or you’re offside.” “Wenger will be quite happy that Arsenal haven’t conceded”. Yep, probably. With Liverpool launching a counter-attack against Arsenal: “They’re outswarming them!”. “Pellegrini will speak to them and City will come out with a fresh set of impetus.” “That’s simple as…simple”. “To stay in the game, you have to stay in the game”. You have to believe your own eyes, don’t you?” After Chelsea scored their sixth goal against Arsenal: “This is turning into a rout.” “That would’ve been a goal had it gone inside the post.” “You need people who score goals. That’s how you win games”.
LCFCCKEANO Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Meanwhile I have seen articles say we are te most unlucky team in this league, guess there are those who research to keep name, and those who have name and are therefore blindly seen as experts (Owen, Shearer, Phil Neville)
Donut Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Im sure one time he said 2-0 was almost a harder lead to defend than a 1-0 lead. Its that extra goal that sets you up for a world of difficulty.
Leicesterpool Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Every pundit as predicted Leicester will go down and it's starting to get a bit annoying. The way it's being said you'd believe Leicester were ten points from safety not three! At the moment this is probably one of most tightest premier league scraps ever, no one can tell whose going down. One team could be lose three on the trot but with a couple of wins they could be high as 15th two games later.

Fox92 Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 What else is he going to say? We're bottom of the league. You don't have to be an expert to predict relegation when the team is 20th.
shailen Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 A boring pundit cannot appreciate an exciting hardworking team
orangecity23 Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Owen must have a well informed opinion on us based on all the times he's seen our matches on BT Sport and .... oh wait, we've not been on once, he's probably not seen any of our games for months.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 To be fair to Owen he said we'd be going down at the start of the season so why would he change now when we're bottom? We're bottom of the league and have, at times, looked clueless. I take absolutely no issue with people predicting our relegation.
filbertway Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 It's okay for us to predict that we will be relegated and say how hopeless we look, but if someone else says it, we'll rip their eyes out!
Wilson_6 Posted 4 February 2015 Author Posted 4 February 2015 It's okay for us to predict that we will be relegated and say how hopeless we look, but if someone else says it, we'll rip their eyes out! Every time.
Foxey id Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 A boring pundit cannot appreciate an exciting hardworking team Hardworking definitely, Exciting? I dont think so
davieG Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 He must have spent a lot of time working it out, it's a tough job being a pundit and coming up with something to say that's worthwhile.
psychonaut Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Well from an objective point of view you cant argue with what he's saying - but then he is stating the obvious. I've always liked Michael Owen may not be the best pundit in the world but always comes across as a genuinely nice guy.
cc_star Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 We've not been on BT Sport yet, I don't think but he surely sure us robbed by officials at Anfield as we at times destroyed them And as for no improvement, we've closed the gap... so any weekend we win and others don't we could leapfrog them How has he not predicted Villa for the drop, they're looking more doomed than most because of downward trajectory
Pasty1 Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Must win on Saturday..... If not - I fear the worse...
cc_star Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Hardworking definitely, Exciting? I dont think so Depends on the game Home defeat to Spurs and away draw at Anfield among other performances was definitely exciting, but the Utd first half as drab as could be
Unabomber Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Think we were on BT Sport when we played Liverpool at home.
shailen Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Hardworking definitely, Exciting? I dont think so From the teams that are stuck in the relegation scrap, we have to be the most exciting imo. Some of our low scoring games have been such thrillers.
LCCFox96 Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Think we were on BT Sport when we played Liverpool at home. Yes we were. I can assure everyone who did not watch it on BT here and now that Owen's commentary that night was the worst I've ever heard in my life. Not only was he so bias towards Liverpool (ofc!) but he clearly didn't have the first clue about goings on at Leicester. If I remember correctly I do believe he made a comment with words to the effect of Wasilewski being light weight at the back?
Bettsj2 Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Pundit thinks team who have been bottom for fookin ages is gonna go down. Pure newsflash.
