Zapp Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 What from THIS season do you say, makes Pearson worthy of managing our club? For me any goodwill from last season has been used up for some time. All evidence suggests he is tactically clueless. In August we will be back where we were 2 years before, so to my mind he has failed in that time to take the club forward, in the most important area - in FOOTBALLING TERMS. I'm going to sound simple to you, but as we will probably go down, what manager is better qualified to take us up again than the last man to win the division Okay, you can argue that he should have gone months ago for better survival chances this season. But he didn't, so vent your frustrations about his tactics & his choices all you like. But trying to force him out now is cutting off your nose to spite your face. There's zero logic in it other than to please a section of fans who's disappointment blurs their vision of what's best for the club
Frank to be Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 541 worked well at Arsenal and again here today, he's learning just like we all knew he could
tickler28 Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Knives out quickly again today... No surprise, given the source of "input starter". Again...its every game...surely you can see he's useless....take your point that not many managers out of work....so what about poaching a Hasselbaink or Rowett
sly1 Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Some leicester fans are so bleeding fickle disgrace win lose draw get behind um.always a blue
skmanuk Posted 15 February 2015 Author Posted 15 February 2015 You can **** off as well OP. Attack the post, not the poster, it marks you out as intelligent.
yorkie1999 Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Don't sack him yet. If we go down, he should also have to taste the sweet smell of failure.
shailen Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Maybe bring Paul Lambert in and score even less goals
Matt Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Losing the love for him, gutted but it's time I think, like I just said in another thread though the only reason I would keep him is because I don't think anyone else is much/if any better, no-one really available, can't see us 'poaching' anyone decent either.
Matt Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Who do we get in? Like i've said the only reason he's still in a job imo. I would have possibly took Sherwood, but I said in another thread the worry with him is would he handle the relegation battle - A question that would worry me if I were a Villa fan, we will see.
Buzzell Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Seriously who would people want in to replace him?
Stadt Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 If my dog was as stupid as Pearson, I would have him put down!If you were my grandad I wouldn't visit
hackneyfox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Progressing in the FA Cup is some sort of success. And I don't think he's useless in tactical terms - otherwise, we wouldn't have gotten a single point in the league so far. THIS season, I think both the manager and the players have let the fans down. The latter more so than the former. Today's result is one that Pearson needs to take responsibility for - one substitution in the entire game and no clue what input to give his team in the first 25 minutes of the second half. He has indeed brought this club forward, but now the engine's stalling. To me, that is nothing new with Pearson. It took him time to adapt to the Championship and we're seeing it again - fortunately, some fans' patience isn't the same than the board's. Btw: In August, we could be back where we were a year and a few months ago. Nope. Are you Tim Sherwood in disguise? Desperate
MC Prussian Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Desperate No. Rationale. The only desperate ones that I see are the ones usually quick to jump on the "Pearson out" bandwagon when we haven't played good enough. Like you, for instance. The majority of the time lurking around a particular type of thread.
hackneyfox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Seriously who would people want in to replace him? We're a well run club with generous owners who don't get involved in the football side of things, I think there's plenty of managers in worse positions who would jump at the chance even with us being nailed on for relegation.

GaelicFox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Pearson haters! ASSEMBLE! Not many on here , his cult followers everywhere on here

The majority of the time lurking around a particular type of thread. We haven't played well enough all season that's why we're bottom. I don't believe the players are behind Pearson, they up their game when we play the big sides and are poor against the teams we should be beating. Can you show me where you think he's improved as a manger this season? We make a substitution in the 65th whether it's needed or not. We make substitutuions in the 88th minute when we're losing or like today just don't bother. He's replaced De Laet with Simpson who was poor in the first place but is getting worse as games go by. He takes of Was and leaves on Morgan who is also getting worse as games go by. He refuses to start Albrighton however well he has played when he does get on as a sub and however poor Schlupp or Mahrez may be. He drop Hamer for a mistake but keeps playing Schwarzer. He has failed to bring in any young defenders so that needs sorting massively next season.
ronnup Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 For who? It's not an argument to say 'get rid'. You have to replace. And who? Nobody good will come and the options are limited.
smudger63 Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Give him our thanks for what he`s done for us, which he deserves respect for, but now it`s time to say goodbye!
Corky Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Give him our thanks for what he`s done for us, which he deserves respect for, but now it`s time to say goodbye! Yeah alright Pearsonite.
hackneyfox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 For who? It's not an argument to say 'get rid'. You have to replace. And who? Nobody good will come and the options are limited. I'm not sure they could be any worse.

Money talks, and while we are likely to be relegated this season now anyway, we have wealthy owners who support the club, and a good fan base. There will be managers that would come here.
