Sure, it worked well vs Arsenal, and at times today vs Villa, but it's far too negative. Everton are not the confident team of recent years, and their defense can be frail, so **** 5 - 4 - 1. Playing 5-4-1 against a side like Villa just couldn't work out, but away at home versus Everton it could do the trick. Players need to up their ante, though. Can't take another lacklustre display like today. We need to see a reaction.
