Euro 2016 Tournament Plans

Ok, so somewhat a premature thread depending on your nationality lol

We've got a motorhome for 16 days for the cost of about £256 each. Booked it in July last year. A lads had to drop out for a couple of reasons and is looking for someone to take his place...

Can this be moved to Gen Sport? Sorry!

If you can't post this in the right thread, I have serious doubts over you managing to drive around for Euro 2016 without killing yourself.

For that reason, I'm out.

I thought £256 sounded quite expensive for individuals, but it's actually a pretty good deal for a 16-day holiday! You'd be spending a fortune on hotels so fair play TYOTF.

Anyone know when tickets go on sale or roughly how much they'll cost?

Oh we we're laughed at so soon after Brazil last year but it makes sense. We've thought it all through. The hotels will cost a bomb particularly once the England group game venues are announced, likewise with flights. The firm we booked with hadn't seem to cotton on what the reason for 6 blokes heading off to France was all about! She was only concerned that when we planned for 3 weeks the third week clashed with Glastonbury, their busiest time.

UEFA will start selling around this time next year with the groups being drawn in December. The prices- I think are on UEFA's website. Not that dear for the lower Cat seats in each ground.

Planning on getting the first two group games in at least. Perhaps the 3rd, then fly back for the Semis and Final should we make it that far.

I know  it's 14 months early, but I can't wait for this.

France /belgium to win it

Belgium can't Beat Wales at home but they're going to win the whole thing?

The most over rated side in world football.

They've got a disproportionately large amount of "pretty good" players for a country their size but there's only so far De Bruyne and Mertens will take you.

The little shit from Chelsea is their only world class player.

Think you're being harsh on Courtois there.

If Northern Ireland qualify I'll probably try and make a group game and stay for a couple of days. Will jump on the Eurostar tho no doubt prices will be sky high around tournament time...

Very fair point. Not sure any goalkeeper in the world us is good enough to make an average team a tournament winning one, however.

I mean Greece won the ****ing thing so who knows? But I wouldn't see Belgium as a favourite.

Yeah I think you're right. I've made the point the point before that people have lampooned the England "golden generation" repeatedly whilst building up this Belgian one but you'd be hard pressed to find more than 3 or 4 of the current Belgian lot who'd have been in the starting XI for England between 2001 and 2006. Possibly only Courtois and Hazard.
