AKCJ Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 You mean when we brought two strikers on. That's when we looked good, when we attacked. Are they not tactics then? Praise Nige, I dare you.
GeorgeTheFox Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Upson spent more time trying to get lukaku's shirt than actually marking him for that goal
Matt Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Fuming. Draws are no good, certainly not in those circumstances, commited suicide again. Nugent proved me wrong today, I hope that gives him a kick start, i'm still far from his biggest fan but he came on and instantly kept me quite - can't ask for much more from him. The defence, still very dodgy, we could have conceaded a few more than we did imo, if it wasn't for a poor Lukaku i'm not sure we would have even drawn, the defence is making criminal mistakes yet again. Kramaric never stops running but that's only due to him having to fend for himself!
Fox92 Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 And yet, once 2-1 up, we decide to sit back and try to defend the lead. This is why Pearson looks so stupid, we do something that works, so he decides to change it to something that doesn't. Agree with that. Don't know why we sat back again when we were pressing them and on top.
john5690 Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 I'll say it in this thread too. Anybody who wouldn't have taken a draw at 2pm is barmy. Exactly most had resigned us to defeat
Spicer Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Good result but we need 3 points not 1. We should of won.

Everton threw the kitchen sink at us yet we were still going for it when given the chance.
Beliall Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 that was our best chance to stop the rot, lukaku missing loads of chances we had to take advantage, i thought we were blessed, then we muck it up. devastating result
dayday Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Fair result I think, they could've won it with the chances they had, agonisingly close but better. ?? Our defence gifting them two goals
GeorgeTheFox Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 This game shows that we're actually quite good when we actually attack
Foxhateram Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 What a game! My heart is racing. Thought we had nicked it at the end there. Another point to the cause lets build on this now. We looked much sturdier at the back today and krammy surprisingly plays a lone striker bloody well. Think we may have finally found our first team. Negative posters feck off that is a great result away from home against a decent side. We limited them and matched them throughout and were unlucky not to get the winner. So if your negative just go somewhere else for one night. No pleasing some!
MC Prussian Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Did Schwarzer really have no chance of saving Everton's first? Looks like it was a deflected shot more than anything to me.
Guest Col city fan Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 I personally think people are being very harsh. We've very nearly come away with a win today. Lukaku had so many chances he was gonna get one in the end. Although it finally came off Upson. In the big scheme of things, a draw was a good and fair result. Kramaric was superb today, he did not give up once. Nugent played well, Huth had a solid game and Cambiasso had a spell of 20 mins in the second half where he ran the show. Again...good result.
Danno Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Wouldn't have taken a point but since we were 1-0 down it seems fair. With the amount of chances Lukaku had he was bound to score.
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 We created some fantastic chances even when we were playing 5 at the back and we should have been 2 up after ~50 minutes. Everton had some incredible chances and we can't be too greedy even if it feels like 2 points lost. We rode our luck at times and it ran out with the own goal, but it is still a point more than a lot of people expected us to get.

This is why Pearson looks so stupid, we do something that works, so he decides to change it to something that doesn't. Come off it mate. Everton were always going to bombard us to try and get a result. It was an outstanding display today, once again that final piece of the jigsaw evaded us.
LCFCFOX6190 Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Fair result. Just gutting we were so close
Turtles Head Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 100% would have taken a point before kick off. Cambiasso was shattered, right call to get some fresh legs on. But not King
theessexfox Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Jesus people are very overcritical if they're angry about their equaliser, cross comes in, good movement from their striker and it's a goal.
Fox92 Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Are they not tactics then? Praise Nige, I dare you. Don't dare me do anything. I like Nigel, have the upmost respect for what he's done here, just don't agree with one up front. But when we went ahead we sat back and they scored again.
desertfox2 Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 You mean when we brought two strikers on. That's when we looked good, when we attacked.
Kitchandro Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Tactically spot on today. We played very well and should have won that. So gutted. Feels like a loss. Watch them wank over Lukaku now. You're an idiot. Surely you can see it was defensive tactics that cost us? Surely you can see that when we did attack we looked the better side, yet were happy to concede possession for most of the match, including when we went in front, and just invited pressure which the defence is clearly not capable of withstanding?
Guest kristianity77 Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Good subs to get us back into it, bad sub at the end taking Cambiasso off and forcing us to go deeper and deeper. We played OK but lets be fair, if Lukaku had his boots on, we'd have been hammered in that game. One point is not good enough.
