Webbo Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 tbf if Lukaku had taken his chances they'd have thrashed us. we even had to score his goal for him. Disappointing but a point is better than nothing.
JAPANFOX1 Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 At this stage of the season and with Man City next time, a point today is the same as no points....... three points thrown away and now a proud 18 from 26 games..... This results gives Pearson the "we were unlucky" out card yet again .......
Corky Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Normally I'd gladly take a point from Everton but not today given our situation.
Fox92 Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 We should have been way ahead before we brought them on dude. But we weren't.
EnglishOxide Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 2-2 draw, could so easily have been all three points. Main lesson: WE'RE A LOT BETTER IF WE ACTUALLY FECKING ATTACK! No we are not. Once we opened up after going 1-0 down Lukaku could have scored a hattrick.
theessexfox Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Our defence gifting them two goals Can't people accept that a goal doesn't have to be someone's fault? Little more could've been done for either I feel, though we weren't great defensively at times from some of the other chances they got.
Dickov22 Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Much improved once we got the subs on to support Kramaric. Upson is absolutely terrible Great stuff by Wes and Vardy for the goal Great stuff by Vardy and Cambiasso for the second Cambiasso head and shoulders the best player for either side If Lukaku had his shooting boots on we'd have lost
Socks Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 2 points dropped that was Man city will batter us
Guest ttfn Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 tbf if Lukaku had taken his chances they'd have thrashed us. we even had to score his goal for him. Disappointing but a point is better than nothing. tbf it Schlupp had taken his chances we'd have thrashed them.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Both teams had some huge chances, draw probably about fair but we played some decent stuff after last weekend's abortion. Heartbreaking to get back into it and lose late on, mind. Huth looks the real deal to me, very, very good (bar the unfortunate slip for their first). Esteban first class, Riyad and Jeff not so much.
Babylon Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Agree with that. Don't know why we sat back again when we were pressing them and on top.I'm not sure we did, Everton had to chuck everything at it. We continued to hit on the break as we'd done most of the game.
Kitchandro Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Are they not tactics then? Praise Nige, I dare you. So you agree he actually started with the wrong tactics then?
Tuna Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Fair result. Just gutting we were so close This, and we probably would have lost had it not been for their calamity keeper. Keeps us in it, just. Play like that in the next 12 games and we have half a chance. Must get Schwarzer and Schlupp out though and play more attacking. Looked a different side when Vardy and Nugent came on.
J.Lisemore Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Lost count how many times we should have taken 3 points off teams this season. All in all, this season has been ridiculous. If any team is out of luck, its us.
lgfualol Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Gutted but I was confident we were going to lose before the game, so really it is a decent result. Glad Vardy made an impact after months of him being absolutely shit.
desertfox2 Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Let's be right if we had played like that from the kick off it could have been a cricket score. Tactics were spot on today.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Have been an ever Pearson fan but his tactical decisions this season have been poor at key times. A draw wouldn't normally be a bad result but we need points. This is why we're going down, can't defend and see out key game. Taking off Cambiasso who was controlling everything was just stupid there can't be an argument with that. We were playing 532 at end of game ffs, why change it or bring off a striker in Krammy Decent display should have had more points
Fox92 Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Nugent should play though. His movement is superb regardless of his lack of goals.
ADK Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Thought Pearson tried everything to lose the match. Wrong formation, negative tactics. He has to go.
HoustonFox Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 At this stage of the season and with Man City next time, a point today is the same as no points....... three points thrown away and now a proud 18 from 26 games..... This results gives Pearson the "we were unlucky" out card yet again ....... Why, because we were unlucky it went through Huth's legs and off Upson's head? I'd say that was unlucky. Also, a point is not the same as no points. It's a point.
blueharmie Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Fair result. We will go down though. Just hope next time in Prem we get better quality players in.
Dickov22 Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Tactically spot on today. We played very well and should have won that. So gutted. Feels like a loss. Watch them wank over Lukaku now. 'Tactically spot on' We were far better once we went for it and actually gave Kramaric some support
BlueSi13 Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 But we weren't. Through lack of finishing. We also lacked finishing when we had three strikers on the pitch.
