Monsell1976 Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 Would a win at Spurs change anything? 4 points from the last 2????No, antic's and results over the season should seal his fate.Reading the posts of some of most loyal supporters and defenders on here, even they have lost all faith, if the owners have half the feeling of the vast majority of fans, they will get shot soon.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 It's too late now unfortunately, the owners have been great for the club but on this issue I think their loyalty has been misplaced, I will never forget last season, Pearson gave Leicester fans 1 of the best seasons ever but sport is a cutthroat industry, results are what matters and this season has been tragic.
GingerrrFox Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 Get the **** over it. Nigel's here till the end of the season. We have 10 games left many that if we find form are winnable. It's massively unlikely we find form but how's about everyone shuts the **** up about sacking the manager and backs the team for the final run in. Worst case scenario = relegation. Best case scenario = survival. Just go for the ride and see what happens. Support the team and who knows what the **** can happen.

We have no god given right to stay up. And a change in manager doesn't guarantee survival. At the start of the season I noted that visiting fans were very arrogant and expected us to roll over for them. Seriously just being miserable ****ers whilst we were just happy to be here after 10 years of being humbled in the 2nd and 3rd tier. I remember thinking 'I hope we don't turn into those self entitled arrogant wankers'. It seems we have. Get some perspective people.

We still have a realistic chance and should target Burnley and Sunderland to overhaul as we play them both away. If and it's a huge IF we won away at those two the table would like this: Hull Pld 29 Pts 28 Aston Villa Pld 29 Pts 28 Sunderland Pld 30 Pts 26 ------------------------------------------ Leicester Pld 30 Pts 25 Burnley Pld 30 Pts 25 QPR Pld 29 Pts 22 We would have six home games out of eight and the likes of Hull have an awful run in. I know some of you will say I'm clutching at straws but I don't believe our squad is any worse than the teams around us. Pearson is a spent force at our club but if we could persuade O'Neill and the Irish FA he could possibly revitalise us.With the fixtures we have left it's difficult but still very much in our own hands. Ahh, I didnt say anything about if Pearson stays. The environment is bleak and at times acidic, we all know and feel that surely. But as Ginge said above. I cant emphasize more, get everything you can behind the team you foxy bastards
AKCJ Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 https://www.openhandweb.org/node/5384 You mean like changing managers?

If this if that.. nothing I have seen suggests anything other than relegation and what should have been a season of enjoyment has turned into a dull procession of only just being beaten.. well beaten is beaten. At least Burnley are showing some spirit and giving it a go and this from a team who NP stated we are miles better than. The board should have sacked him ages ago and as in most walks of life if you continue to act the same you tend to get the same... the boards failure to act means they are as much at fault as NP. Please do say I don't support the team because I do.. I just like a moan on here.

In fact probably more, but im not reducing this to a dick measuring contest. There is NOTHING to suggest any kind of change in form is likely. We are approaching must win games like saturday, coming away lucky not to lose, and barely creating anything when we HAVE to win. We have players who look uninspired and devoid of confidence and form. There is nothing to lose by changing the manager, and its a damn sight more likely a new man would inspire some kind of spark.
Corky Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 We are all sick of the negativity. Get rid of Pearson and the negativity goes as well! Only if results and performances improve.
Donut Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 You mean like changing managers? So we should have stuck with Tater Peeler then with your logic?
AKCJ Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 So we should have stuck with Tater Peeler then with your logic? Eh? This is a young, Championship side that Nigel Pearson is developing. Peter Taylor took over an experienced Premier League side and dismantled it. No comparison whatsoever.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 Donut has the potential to cause an aneurysm
Jaspa Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 So we should have stuck with Tater Peeler then with your logic? You mean the bloke who built the squad that got us up to the Premier League. Any stability Nigel possibly holds will be gone, for all we know there could be problems that hes holding together. We dont know, the press doesnt, I dont, If the squad, staff and board are still behind him then there must be something in it
lgfualol Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 People complaining about negativity, what do you expect from this disaster of a season. We couldn't even attack a 10 man Hull effectively.
Donut Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 Eh? This is a young, Championship side that Nigel Pearson is developing. Peter Taylor took over an experienced Premier League side and dismantled it. No comparison whatsoever. No, the Einstein quote is about doing the same thing and expecting different results. You turned it around on its head to say chopping managers was "doing the same thing" and that it wouldnt produce any different results. So by your logic, Spurs would still be managed by Juande Ramos, Ian Holloway would be managing Crystal Palace and Alan Irvine would be at West Brom.
David Hankey Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 At some point the Thais have to make a decision. In some ways it seems pretty pointless to get rid of him now but without him and 10 games to go could we do any worse? This is all down to the owner's naivety on footballing matters. They surely know that Pearson has to go at some stage and at this low point it seems an ideal opportunity. I wonder what the situation would be if one of their King Power employees was so abysmal at their job?

And i LOVE the unintended but highly humourous quote you put in there about building a young championship side, whilst making the average age of the squad older, and having taken the club backwards from the start of this season which was a PREMIERSHIP, not championship squad.

Are you on drugs!!!!! young given NP preference for over the hill oldies I might get a look in just in case you don't actually know what our side is let me ask you which one of these is young Schwazer, Morgan, Huth, Upson, Cambiasso, Nugent, Vardy,... all apart from Vardy way over 30... stop believing the young side bullshite

No it wasn't.
RedSoxUK Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 Short term options are pathetic and are mostly embarrassing - I can't see Blunderland getting anyone of any real importance or skill as a manager, they've been hovering at the wrong end of the Premiership for a reason. Poyet was sacked because they've been pathetic in performance and results, in a free fall, and they 'hope' a short term replacement can change that. They've been in the Prem for a number of years and don't want to drop out of that. In terms of why we haven't sacked Pearson. We don't need to, it's costly, it can tear the team apart, and it can ruin the form of players and raise questions to do with their futures and positions at the club - tearing apart the success of last year rather than getting back to it with the same man. Pearson is proven in the Championship at creating a very good attacking and challenging team with his backroom staff, if the owners want to sack him because we've not challenged enough this year, then fine - theirs reasons to sack Pearson sure, the 'incidents', his behaviour, and lack of understanding of the tasks hes had to face come to mind when his position will inevitably be reviewed at the end of the season. I think they'll take a long look at what they want the future to be, and their number 1 goal will be to get promoted back to the Premier League, as a stronger team, and retain a place in the Premier League - I think Pearson is the right man for the job. Remember we're a promoted side just like Burnley and QPR, no amount of investment can buy you the luck of escaping the drop as a newbie with the big boys.

Maybe they will get it when the revenue drops and the King Power brand exposure drops when we are in the Championship
