Tottenham (Away) - Post Match Thread 4 - 3

Can someone please explain to me why everyone keeps ignoring the rules about shots on target and deflections. The ball clearly was not on target for Kane. Pissing me off.

Becuase its Sir Harry Kane. The greatest Englishman since Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

Went for it, but lost. Our defensive fragility bit us in the arse again, couldn't really care less about the performance in all honesty because we're gone.

Classic Leicester. Play well but diabolical defending and refereeing has cost us.

It hasn't. Did the referee miss our chances? Wasyl had a free header and should have hit the target minimum, Nugent should hit the target first half instead the ball goes wide, Ulloa has a decent chance with a header, Vardy has a good chance...

On top of conceding sloppy goals. The first fifteen minutes of the match were painful to watch.

When we defend well we cannot score, when we have a go and score we can't defend.

I'm sorry but I don't think I can say we've ever defended well at all this season.

We lost but at least we had a bloody go. Something i have been crying out for all season. If only we had done it earlier in the season who knows where we may have been.? Too little too late ii'm afraid. Oh and pearson out.

Good effort, certainly deserved something. I just wish we'd approach every game with such vigour, instead of only going for it against quality opposition, who will inevitably undo us at some point. Where was that drive last week, against a Hull side there for the taking?

This is the real annoyance.

But it's nothing new. So far this seaon most of our better performances have come against the teams that don't really matter to us.

Need to play like that at home for the rest of the season and we have a chance of winning games.

Front 3 of vardy, nugent and Kramaric. Get rid of upson and have drinkwater, Cambiasso and James in Midfield.

Not far enough, chuck coins at his widescreen forehead! How dare he score a hat trick against us?

I didn't blame it solely on the ref, but at 2-2 we're on top and he gives a non-penalty to Tottenham and changes the game. All this after failing to send off Bentaleb who had just slapped our player in the face, and Chadli who left the ball behind to foul one of our players whilst already on a yellow.

Wish we would but we wont.

Same old story with a battling performance, missed chances, own goals and dodgy penos. Glad we gave it ago but if you score 3 goals you expect to win the game. Pearson in.

Why is it that we tend to only start playing football when we're 2-0 down?

The defending for the first two goals was slightly comical.

It's as if we're too nervous at the start of a game - probably also down to the players being well aware of the fact that it's now or nothing with regards to survival in this league.

Can't fault the attacking intent. It's what fans were calling for and the manager delivered.

Today, we were clearly unlucky and should've gotten at least a point at the Lane.

But the majority of our players are not cut for this level and when you've got a referee giving a dubious penalty against you, what else can you do?

We didn't start playing when 2 nil down, we started well but as usual shoot ourselves in the foot and give us a mountain to climb.

You just know Sunderland are going to beat West Ham as well, then it really is game over.

We played quite well, but we are just not good enough, It's the final result that is important, and yet again, no points.

Our season is as good as over, so we had better get used to the fact.
