Jaspa Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Radio Leicester comment brief Terry - What did the subs add? Play Albrighton instead of Mahrez / where is Albrighton? Its about decisions and we 'set up' wrong. Beaglehole is better than Pearson, sack Nige now and get the academy manager in. Jamie - First 18mins poor but impressed with the rest. Liked Vardy. 'Positive', 'Refreshing'. We need a consistent teamsheet. 'Get Hamer in goal'. Carl - At least they showed fight. Pearsons gotta go. I feel sorry for the players cause they tried (Implying). Why cant we play like this against the carp teams. Why does a well known football manager get paid lots of money? 'Geddim Ouwt' Mark - Referee was on Spurs side. Harsh pen, scoreline harsh. Fans should be proud. Keep the momentum going, we may surprise a few people Andrew - Ref was playing for the opposition, common theme this season. Chris - Easy to blame ref. We looked likely to win. We didnt look like the bottom side. Worries of inconsistencies of performances from us. Its easy to sit back and criticise. 'anything can still happen' The nutter ratio was abit lower tonight but a decent effort lads
Guest Cujek Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Pearson in that sky interview looks like a wounded animal. His eyes are all over the gaff, one of his pupils make him look like he is on smack and the other looks like he has double dropped some heavy am'dam strength pills. Personally, I think he is trying hard not to unleash a raging torrent of abuse about mike dean. for a man in his position, under pressure, you can kind of understand him looking a bit ragged, its never nice when work isn't going well for you.
harwich fox Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Could have sent Ulloa off, defo pen, typical striker defending , Nigel clutching at straws,King instead of 9 million striker
RowlattsFox Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Just seen the goals, diabolical from Kasper and Huth for the first two. Penalty was a joke, if anything it's a foul to us. Jeff is unlucky in the end but he was stood ball watching initially. Excellent finishes from vardy and nugent.
maynefox Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 I felt it was a clear penalty. Nugent with a poor first touch, Rose nips the ball off him and Nugent clatters him. so frustrating to score 3 goals away from home and get nothing from it. Great commitment from the players (once again), could have very easily been dismantled in the first half.
StanSP Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 You won't get many teams scoring 3 at Spurs but I believe if you're scoring 3 in any game you should be at the very least drawing the game. We gave ourselves too much to do once again with the 2 early goals. The way we fought back is extremely commendable to get it back to 2-2 (Vardy's goal was superb, Morgan scored from a corner!!!!!) and we were dominating up til half-time even at 2-1. After 2-2 we sat back and didn't carry in imposing ourselves on the game. We let Spurs gradually regain their foothold in the game and I'm not sure what was going through Nugent's head in the box - he should have just cleared the fvcker. Not convinced it was a penalty but it's one of those where you shouldn't give the referee a decision to make and take that risk. Not happy and it gave me memories of the game vs Birmingham couple seasons ago. Their fourth goal is so, so fluky. Reminded me of Cambiasso OG vs West Brom. Wrong place, wrong time for Schlupp. Still didn't give up and Nugent rounded off the game with a goal that he individually deserved despite the error at the other end of the pitch. He took his goal with aplomb and he and Vardy epitomised what we've been asking for virtually all season. Strikers linking up and reaping the rewards. Think we need to start with those 2 and Kramaric against West Ham after the internationals. Wasilewski HAS to start instead of Upson however the defence is lined up. When is Hammond back?
Guest Cujek Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Whatever you make of the poor decisions, I think a personal attack on the official is extremely unfair. It's about time these people are called out for their atrocious performances, if I made a mistake at work, I have to answer for it, if these people make a mistake, you get people say things like, they only human, everyone makes mistakes, they don't have the benefit of replays etc etc. Fvck carebear attitudes towards them, give them 1 slap for each stupid mistake they make in a game, they would soon stop making stupid mistakes.

Only fair we let Mike Dean have a pop back at Pearson then? Make fun of his trainers or something. Or why has Hamer been dropped.

That's what it sounded like was happening on the radio to me. Now you blame the referee all you like, i've not seen it yet but whether it was right or wrong we were sitting back at 2-2, which leads me to two thoughts - We were happy to see the game out for a 2-2 draw (Which is no good for us anyway, we need wins) or Spurs would have scored anyway. At that point in the game I could not see us getting a 3rd. The penalty changed the game (Again rightly or wrong) and we had to go out and seek the 3rd to get back in the game.
Mike Oxlong Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 I can handle a defeat like today's better than the point gained last week. More positive intent, creative ability and some bottle to get back in the game after such a poor start. Does strike me though how many of our signings this season haven't improved what we had. Hamer, Cambiasso and Huth being the exceptions.

ScouseFox Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 we scored in the first half too so that should keep that ttfn character quiet for at least a week, hallelujah
StanSP Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 That's what it sounded like was happening on the radio to me. At that point in the game I could not see us getting a 3rd. The penalty changed the game (Again rightly or wrong) and we had to go out and seek the 3rd to get back in the game. And it's what it looked like. The midfield dropped which caused our forwards to drop a bit further back towards the half-way line. So whenever we'd look to play the ball forward like we did in the first-half, the forwards were too deep and Spurs defence had an easier time dealing with it and then the 2nd ball, too, if it came to it. We should have kicked on and taken the game to them. Spurs were there for the taking if we stuck to our gameplan when we were losing. It's as if the team has some kind of mental block that when we are on the up, we seem to go in to our shells a bit and are a bit lost.
Mike Oxlong Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Refs should be accountable. Managers should be able to criticise them and the refs should in return be able to explain their decisions. At the moment they're pretty untouchable. It takes a shambolic performance to be "punished" by a week in the lower leagues.

Heskey2011 Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Just met our Marcin at King cross he was absolutely gutted with today said it keeps happening and it's killing him, nice fella looked seemed genuinely upset
MooseBreath Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Same old same old. Raising our game to just below the standard of the opposition. Feel a bit sorry for the attacking players today but ffs it just goes to show how badly we've wasted our opportunities against crap teams.
Tuna Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 http://www1.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/9770497/pearson-furious-with-arrogant-referee fooking video doesn't work.
Donut Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Nige calling Mike Dean arrogant, thats one heck of a pot kettle comment right there. We were highly unlucky today. At first i thought it was a "strikers challenge" from Nugent, but everyone seems to think it was harsh, so id like to see that incident again. That took away all our momentum at the time when we had got it back to 2-2. Again though, we cant start playing at 2-0 down. Any "normal" game was as good as lost within that first 15 mins. I cant believe Kane got free in the box from the corner firstly, you could argue that Huth was unlucky with the deflection on the 2nd but the back three got caught very square and Rose had Upson on ice when he got to the goal line for the cut back. But we posed a lot more threat. The linkup play between James, Nugent and Vardy for the first goal was outstanding. Other than the penalty, Nugent had a great game and showed lots of quality. Not sure what kind of message it sends to Kramaric, £9 mil striker and left out of the side all together to play big man Ulloa and your two main strikers of last season. Shows if anything we have spent a lot and not really improved the team sadly in that regard. But if we had that kind of INTENT against Hull, and against a fair few teams at home this season, we would be in touch with getting out of this position. Too little too late now.
sylofox Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 This score 3 bit yes I agree we should be getting something. But the way some are saying means we should not have had one of our greatest results ever this season. And that game will probably be prem game of the season.
StanSP Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Nige calling Mike Dean arrogant, thats one heck of a pot kettle comment right there. He said he's 'the most arrogant person he's ever met'. Arrogant people are allowed their opinions on other people too .
foxfanazer Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Proud of the boys today. Shoddy defending cost us though. If we go down I hope we play Vardy and Nuge again
lgfualol Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Pretty sure the ref gave them a penalty just so Kane could get a hattrick. INGERLAND
