He was a good player for us but he had a paddy and took us for grantage. Him being the first loan player to reach 100 caps for a club says it all really. I'd sooner boo someone who's sat and stole a wage from us than someone who wanted to leave for first team football and left for a rival.

Can score beauty from distance or a set piece but all round game nowhere near good enough and a bottler when it comes to tackles. I hope he's enjoyed the highly undeserved wages he's collected from our club (thanks Sven) including the big wages increase when we got promoted last season - a season where he didn't play one single game for us. I wouldn't boo him though.

Maybe you will be saying the same next season when we are mid table with pearson at the helm and the likes of King, De Laat and Drinkwater are all playing all on four year contracts.

Back to topic Gallagher was a great player for Lcfc and should be respected regardless of who he is playing for next season.

it seems a lot still genuinely expected him to be playing quite well at the time, be in the first team pretty much every week under a manager who liked him, to be offered a nice new contract but to say "dya know what sven, i know it's all going well atm but i think in about 18 months i might not be playing much so i'm going to politely decline this contract and end up clubless in a year just for the good of lcfc fans and those who frequent foxestalk. thanks anyway pal".

yeah, the one tweet he sent laughing about how much he got paid was out of order, not arguing that. 

 

would be interested to know though, seen as you're using yourself as a comparable example, if you had thousands of people abusing you, your young family, your wife and your mates almost 24/7, whether that be in person at your place of work or when you got home on the internet? probably not tbf. i think it's wrong that he replied but i don't really blame him. all you need to do is read these boards for a week and see how many fans are bickering amongst each other over pretty much nothing and then think how it'd be if thousands were taking the piss out of just one poster, would he respond? of course, he's only human. 

 

of course it was a bit retarded and a kick in the balls to genuine fans, but the ones who did used to abuse him deserved much worse than him tweeting a few dollar signs at them. and to hold a, what, 3 year?, grudge over a tweet is well sad imo.
