somebum Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Says a lot about the mentality of city fans that find this in any way legendary. Jose Sir Alex etc would rant but never this erratically, it lacks class and its just embarrassing
C-man Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Amazing how people see something like this so differently. Some see it as 'amazing' and 'give the man a five year contract'. I see it as a fella with anger issues. He's not laughing. He's seething. And walking out at the end (again) suggests a loss of control. In pretty much any other walk of life that would not be seen as a positive thing. It's been apparent all season. And I'm amazed, in this day and age, he's allowed to keep on doing this. For all those wanting to give him a pat on the back..you try doing this at work tomorrow. See how you get on. Oh look someone comparing football to real life again. ZzzzThe media have always hated NP because of his attitude. That is who he is and he's made it quite clear on a number of occasions that he has contempt for the media and he himself admits the way he deals with them isn't perfect. Do not have a single issue with him being who he is, as long as he gives everything he has to make the Club a success - which he clearly does. Why does everyone feel the need to be liked as a Club? 'Oh little old Leicester, aren't they a nice Club with a nice Manager.. now back to the Top 4...' Fvck that, I quite like people hating him and us. Better than being irrelevant.

What he really appears to be saying (through gritted teeth) is 'I soooo want to punch your lights out..'

You can do that without losing control. Is my point. It looks weak, not strong.
KFS Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 One thing I'm utterly confused about is the tonnes of social media comments from people citing Nigel as a bully. What is wrong with this nation? Bullying?
filbertway Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Everyone has forgotten about the criticism and is talking about Nigel again. Great deflection. Also he has a good point, this is obviously going to happen when journalists ask such questions. I don't think it needs a thread everytime he does something like this. Maybe we should have a thread when he's given a perfectly acceptable, boring answers straight out of the textbook, press conference, they seem less regular. One thing I'm utterly confused about is the tonnes of social media comments from people citing Nigel as a bully. What is wrong with this nation? Bullying? Reading those comments on youtube annoyed me, I had to stop after the 5th or 6th.
chapero82 Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Tbf the players have not had that much bad critism, most pundits say we have played well but just not been getting the results, so the journalist was right to ask the question
indierich06 Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 All the people who are criticising are probably the same people who would think it was 'brilliant' or 'top banter' it someone like Mourinho had come out with it. **** 'media training' and trying to cosy up to that bunch of snakes. Do you think Shanks or Clough would ever have done a media training course? How do you think they would have reacted to the ridiculous questions Pearson's had to endure this season? NP is right, we've had to listen to them saying we've been dead and buried for the past six months - now we like we might survive, these journos act like they knew it all along and they've backed us 100%. Honestly, **** them.

indierich06 Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Not watched much of Jose then? The blokes as much of a nutter as Pearson. Difference is, when it's Mourinho it gets about 500k likes on the Lad Bible Facebook page for being 'Top Bants'.
CKB Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Should we start feeling sorry for journalists or something? So fvcking what? NP had a pop at him, Jesus H Christ, some people are making it out like he committed a crime! He called him silly, daft & an ostrich, wasn't like he hailed 900 swear words & threatened to murder him in the car park!
RowlattsFox Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 I don't think it's funny to be honest, would be getting a different reaction on here if it was Sean dyche. It's unnecessary, pointless and gives us bad press. We know he doesn't like journalists but there is no need for it. What does it achieve? He gives those journalists a story and they're going to run with and exaggerate it. I love Pearson but we Could do without it.
Guest Col city fan Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Pearson being slated this morning across the media. Do people really see this as someway a good thing? Ten things you didn't know about ostriches....
l444ry Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Dress it up all you like folks, he just comes across as an arrogant bully again to all but the rose-tinted. There was absolutely no need for this. "Deflecting criticism from the players?" You must be having a laugh.
Webbo Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 On BBC breakfast news now. The sports totty is looking rather nice.
stingray Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 He is under immense stress but keeps time and time again picking fights with people he cannot win against (media). Just so sensitive and prickly. Do LCFC have a PR/media department at all wht the **** are they doing? Actually media have been v good with us

Just so sensitive and prickly. Do LCFC have a PR/media department at all wht the **** are they doing? Actually media have been v good with usI agree with this.I wonder if anyone from the club is actively encouraging him to be like this? I doubt it. Graham Hunter had it right this morning on the radio. The response was completely disproportionate to the question posed. Which implies a loss of control.
stingray Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 frankly Pearson makes himself look a total arse everytime he has a mic in front of him. He's poor with words and hates the spotlight on him. His bizarre behaviour puts MORE pressure on players as we're now being talked about for wrong reasons. If he survives next season they sd issue him with some emergency happy pills pre press conference
howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 He's ensured there's no negativity in the press about the players, he's playing a game that if mourinho or alex Ferguson did it they would be called geniuses, I don't think Pearsons mental, I'm pretty sure he trying to play mind games.

Graham Hunter had it right this morning on the radio. The response was completely disproportionate to the question posed. Which implies a loss of control. If I have the the choice between, him taking his team apart and them hearing him repeat criticisms of them in the national media, or, him putting the journo in his place with some mental ramble. I'd go for the 2nd anytime. All that matters to me is that the players are still playing for him and want to do well. People can use the words bully, mental, out of control. I think it's water off a ducks back for him.
Gubbins Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 If the idea was to take the focus of the team then surely it's backfired horribly. Absolutely none of the media would have given us a second paragraph if he'd gone for his usual charisma free style of answers, they'd have focussed completely on there beloved Chelsea. Instead he's made us a target for the more vengeful journos. He needs to be kept in a quote proof bunker after matches.
