Pearson interview

I think it's clever how he takes any negativity aimed at the players badly and puts it on himself, allowing the players to concentrate on the game. Very mourinho like and it creates a siege mentality.

Will anyone be talking about the end of our winning streak and how important Saturdays game is now?

Nope, didn't think so.

Yeah the world's media were waiting to slate relegation battling Leicester City for losing to the Champions before Nigel Pearson's calculated media offensive this evening.

He's a tool. I don't care what he does or says as long as we win, but he's still a tool.

Yeah the world's media were waiting to slate newly promoted Leicester City for losing to the Champions before Nigel Pearson's calculated media offensive this evening.

He's a tool. I don't care what he does or says as long as we win, but he's still a tool.

Not sure you can still refer to us as 'newly promoted'.

The journo basically questions him, and he sees it as the journo questioning his honesty? Still all a bit rude, reckon he is having the usually bullying media on at their own game, bet he laughs it off with the players after.

If getting called an ostrich by Nigel Pearson is not a career highlight i don't know what is.

I think I'd call that attitude having very low standards. Or being a bit naïve. Wait and see what happens when you ask the same question to other PL managers.

They may not say the same directly to your face, but imagine what colorful language they could be using behind closed doors.

Ian Baker - slightly touchy?

And why the need to tweet if you don't care?

To Be honest its disappointing to wake up to this as the main talking point after the game last night.

I think we played out of our skin and the players deserve support and recognition for that.  Nobody really expected us to win this game, we all wanted to be optimistic but when Albrighton scored it was a fantastic moment.  Reality came home to roost though and I believe that Pearson was protecting and defending his team.  Could have/should have been more tactful but he's Nigel Pearson. If we survive in the prem (and its a big if) he will do a good job for us.

Amazing how people see something like this so differently.

Some see it as 'amazing' and 'give the man a five year contract'.

I see it as a fella with anger issues. He's not laughing. He's seething. And walking out at the end (again) suggests a loss of control.

In pretty much any other walk of life that would not be seen as a positive thing.

It's been apparent all season. And I'm amazed, in this day and age, he's allowed to keep on doing this.

For all those wanting to give him a pat on the back..you try doing this at work tomorrow. See how you get on.

Could really do without all this crap. It's going to be a tough enough build up to the Newcastle 6 pointer as it is with injuries and players knackered after giving it all last night, without the manager be banded about the media for another strange rant.

Really fear for Saturday to be hones just hope Pearson is in the right frame of mind to get the players back up for it and can make a sensible team selection.
