indierich06 Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Reporter didn't deserve the level of backlash and in order to maintain our dignity as a football club and continue this good run with a positive vibe around the club Pearson needs to offer a personal apology to this journalist because his outburst was uncalled for. A bunch of flowers picture for the media with smiles and a warm embrace should do it then we can go on and stuff Newcastle with a clear conscience!! No. No he ****ing doesn't need to apologise. We've had it in the neck from the media for the past 6 months, they've been constantly telling us we're dead and buried and have no chance of staying up, they've attacked the manager personally, they've tried their best to undermine him at every opportunity, but now it looks like we're in with a chance of staying up, they want to forget all the muck they've been raking. **** them. I'm absolutely sick of this culture of being ****ing offended by everything and demanding apologies all the ****ing time - all he did was tell the bloke he either had his head in the sand, of he was 'stupid' or 'daft'. You hear worse than that on a ****ing playground. This is exactly the same as that tosser in the crowd who got told where to go earlier in the season, they're more than happy to dish it out, but as soon as it gets given back to them, they run off crying, claiming bullying and demanding apologies. If you're willing to dish it out, don't ****ing moan when you get it back. End of.
Ashley Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 I worry for society of today if you are offended by this outburst. Seriously have a word. Nigel by the looks of him doesn't take life too seriously and up for a laugh I can see the funny side of it...
RobHawk Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Reminds me of this by Jason Manford on Facebookre: The oystons Jason Manford Yesterday at 00:04 · Dear fans, After my earlier post regarding calling Karl Oyston of Blackpool FC an 'odious ferret' I've been contacted by my lawyers. So I would like to retract my comments, they were unfair and misjudged and I can only apologise for letting myself, my family and my fans down. The last thing I want is to cause upset and to be taken to court over a silly comment. I can only hope that my apology is accepted by ferrets and ferret owners everywhere. They of course make lovely, loving, loyal pets & are easily trainable & entertaining. To compare them to that total bellend was an insult to ferrets and for that I am sorry. To be even be mentioned in the same sentence to that knuckle-dragging slimy cockmuppet was a miscalculation on my part. Regards, Jason Manford
bovril Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Does he have to do the post match press conference? Could we not send Shakespeare out instead? I'd like to see that... "The golden age is before us, not behind us".
Blanesta Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Top: Nigel I think you need to apologise! Nigel: Ok, I'm sorry you're an ostrich!
indierich06 Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 I like how the journos are happy to have a pop at NP on Twitter. I didn't hear one of them back their colleague up last night. Embarrassing. Literally keyboard warriors - they slag him off in the papers week in week out, tell us we're going down with a whimper, then when they get called up on it they try to claim they didn't say anything. That bloke with his 'What specific criticism?' nonsense - what a ****ing dick.

Captain... Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 No. No he ****ing doesn't need to apologise. If you're willing to dish it out, don't ****ing moan when you get it back. End of. I don't get this, yes they have said we were dead buried, but so did the majority of our fans, it wasn't muck raking to say that we looked down, I've not seen any public over the top criticism except from "fans" and radio Leicester. There might be comments and stuff going on behind the scenes that we don't see, but I think the majority of articles I have read have been fairly positive.
indierich06 Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Not offensive. Just a bit unnecessary right now. Yeah, he should just act like the journos have always been on our side and never had the knives out for us.
Fox Ulike Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Anyone mentioning bullying has got to be the one of the biggest wet blankets around. How do you get through life if you think that's bullying. Of course it’s bullying. “Are you an ostrich?” “What’s ‘erm’…??” Pearson is a silly man.
bovril Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Yeah, he should just act like the journos have always been on our side and never had the knives out for us. The London press have never been sympathetic to provincial clubs. We used to get worse under O'Neill, all the crap about 'boring football'. Just deal with it.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Another thing that is blown out of proportion. Journo asks stupid questions, gets stupid response and accusation of being stupid. Next!
Babylon Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Another Pearson press conference at 2pm... please please please come out with a stuffed Ostrich.
shailen Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 A lot of Pearson's anger seems to strain from our inability to pick up results. Today was an exception, but do people think he's stupid enough to do these things knowing it's putting him in a bad light. That's why I think there's something in this. If it was a serious thing, he would have been warned after the first incident, but clearly there's a reason to why he responds in such a manner. I think its a bit of a siege mentality. Everyone hates us and that's why we have to perform. I may be wrong, but he's not stupid enough to do that unconsciously.
Babylon Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Of course it’s bullying. “Are you an ostrich?” “What’s ‘erm’…??” Pearson is a silly man. He might be silly... but bullying FFS. He asked a grown man if he's a frigging Ostrich
Fox92 Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 So annoying that's it always front page news whenever it's Pearson. Yet Mourinho, Van Gaal, Redknapp, Sherwood etc can all react "arrogant" but nobody looks twice... I saw the press conference, didn't think much to it, a stupid question and Pearson reacts before "storming out". Happened thousands of times.

They hate him and from here on in will jump on anything he does, and do so collectively.
cc_star Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Some journos (the nationals) seem to be nodding and agreeing with each other that there's "no need to apologize, it happens" Happens all the time, shame for Pearson that in the heat of the moment he made himself look ridiculous. Mourinho must hate it this morning with it not being himself who's the topic of conversation

Mourinho must hate it this morning with it not being himself who's the topic of conversation Your top level sports writers have generally not made much of it, like you say mentioning that it happens all the time and that a lot worse gets said. Your lower level lot are the ones having the feeding frenzy.
The Doctor Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Bullying ffs - the guy asked a stupid question and got a stupid answer, that's it. Some of you lot must be utter melts to consider that bullying.
Footballwipe Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 I could understand the furore if the journalist in question had stated/tweeted he was genuinely upset/"shook up" by the incident, but he's not. Far from it, in fact. Thinking on it; A) things like this are always going to be made a meal of. It's something out of the ordianry that was videoed with journalists present and with a lot of non-Leicester fans not keen on NP (seemingly) it's great clickbait for them. B) Football fans like to have their say, however deluded, uneducated and lacking in knowledge the comments are.

Mike Oxlong Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 All part of the master plan to create a them and us siege mentality!
