Pearson interview

If you can't see what Nigel is doing then you need to read some books on the art of interviewing. What's all over the sports pages today? "Leicester set final day safety scrap after Chelsea loss" or "Leicester injury woes halt survival bid" or "Leicester cut down to size by the champions elect". No the stories are all about Nigel, he doesn't give a shit what people think about him, so he is happy to take the brunt as long as his players aren't exposed to criticism. The blokes a genius.

Why would we need detract attention away from the players after a defeat to Chelsea? And having won the 4 previous games.

One thing is for sure, the end of the season can't come quick enough for him, the guy needs a holiday.

Can someone tell that bellend Piers Morgan to do one from me?

He's taking the moral high ground on Pearson via Twitter. Is that some sort of fvcking joke? Phone hacking, slimy, bitchy, over weight man.

Although I agree to some degree, you have to remember we were playing the champions elect. They would have got all the headlines, not us.

I heard Nige has a bear-skin rug at home.

The bear's not dead - just too fvcking scared to move!

One Niigel Pearson...

It'd be reintroducing negativity into the camp, players would be reminded about past mistakes. On the back of a loss that's hardly going to do wonders for morale is it?

Are people REALLY suggesting that getting the club firmly back in the media. All over the media, is somehow taking pressure off us and the players?

Only on FT....

His press conference should have simply been about the effort the players put it and losing to a world-class side.

That would have finished it and we'd have simply moved on.

This did not look like a purposeful tactic on Pearson's part. It looked like a loss of control and was frankly insulting.

I agree with this.

I wonder if anyone from the club is actively encouraging him to be like this?

I doubt it.

Graham Hunter had it right this morning on the radio.

The response was completely disproportionate to the question posed.

Which implies a loss of control.

It might suggest anger issues, a loss of control and/or just be totally out of proportion to the question.

But who cares? He's here to manage the team, what does it matter if he acts a total cock to a few journalists?

Does anyone think journalists writing about him is likely to influence any of the results in our upcoming games? I think not, and that's why I don't have a problem with it.

All the noises this season has been that the camp has remained positive throughout the bad run of form.

I thought we gave a good go last night, were it not for an outstanding second half display from Chelsea we may have got something from it - we were nailed on to lose in most people's eyes before the game so don't believe there would have been many people writing to criticise us.

Have to agree it comes across as pretty classless from Nige - A fair few neutrals have said as much to me.

Part of the problem is that all of the conferences are now televised in some form or another. There's more journo's than ever and everything is transcripted to Twitter and all the other social media outlets. Managers have walked out of press conferences many times before - Ferguson made it a regular habit - and turned on hacks loads of times but before the days when journalists had enough column inches to report it and websites with endless pages to cover it.

For the record, it's an OTT reaction, I'm not saying what he did was okay just saying everything gets magnified and analysed now.

BULLYING? How the **** is it bullying? He called him daft, silly or stupid? It's not done him any favours but he's not a bully

im pretty sure if Jose had said that everyone would be praising him.

Spot & on!

Couldn't give a toss, doesn't affect what happens on the pitch.

And once again spot & on!

If you think that interview was out of control and offensive... lol. Seriously?

Kinda what I said earlier on, he had a pop at a journalist & called him an ostrich, hardly crime of the century is it lol

The Sunday supplement team openly said they disliked Nige at the weekend. The feeling is obviously mutual. Not sure which side started it mind.

Couldn't give a fig what Pearson's says to the press, Mourinho and Van Gaal say what they want to who they want and are heralded for it. I find the whole thing hilarious.

I like how the journos are happy to have a pop at NP on Twitter. I didn't hear one of them back their colleague up last night. Embarrassing.
