MPH Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Whatever it takes. I really mean it. If anyone has earned the right for our supposed wage structure to be broken, it's definitely Huth. How much will it cost to sign him? £2m? £5m? Look if we can spend 10 million on kramarić and not play him regularly then what price an absolute rock in Huth? It shouldn't cost that much, but you can't deny his value to the team. He's slotted in effortlessly... Signing of the season, alongside Cambiasso...

st albans fox Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 I would say he would cost between 3-4m, wages though... I don't think he's a 60k+ a week player. Not at Stoke. Their 'average wage' structure won't be quite as high as that. He wasn't a stand out player there so wouldn't command the top salary. It does show the issues we may have if we stay up. we surely can't stick to that supposed wage ceiling and expect to attract good enough players to make our season more comfortable.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Have you ever loved a loanee more than Huth? He's phenomenomenal
HighPeakFox Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Have you ever loved a loanee more than Huth? He's phenomenomenal Presume that's even betterer than phenomenal.....
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Presume that's even betterer than phenomenal..... Much betterer, he's the bestest loanee I can remememember
NewquayFox Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Don't think he would have been on a 'mega' wage at Stoke to be honest, they don't seem to attract the big names (Huth is only 4 letters, Crouch is big but only 6 letters) and he wasn't a regular this season before we nabbed him much to the Stoke fans dismay. Sign him up.... Big feckin German... We've got a big feckin German.... Up the City....
VLC86 Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Along with Cambiasso he has been only player showing real class and premier quality Yep, because in the premier league you can get by with just a decent CB and CM can't you.
HighPeakFox Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Yep, because in the premier league you can get by with just a decent CB and CM can't you. Agreed, patent nonsense

There is no reason we won't be able to spend more on wages and transfers. The tv rights is absolutely silly money.
leicesterseddon Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Have to agree with most of the sentiments on here - Huth has been a remarkably good performer for us, despite the fact he was thrown in at the deep end when we were in a terrible position. He's brought the one thing our defence has been lacking for most of the season, and the one thing we arguably (with hindsight) should have invested in during the summer: experience of playing in this league. For me, however, his biggest impact has not just been in improving the defence, but allowing us to set up in a more attacking fashion - which has reaped rewards over the last few games in contrast to the dire negativity of the tactics we were employing throughout January and February. The point about the wage structure is also very pertinent - and it's something we're going to have to think about very hard IF (and I do not say this lightly) we do manage to stay up.
MGLCFC Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Have you ever loved a loanee more than Huth? He's phenomenomenal Yakubu, just because he was so unfit, lazy, but was a goal machine
LCCFox96 Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Huth is everything we should have recruited in a centre half in the summer! His arrival was a massive boost to our season and he looks every bit a top Premier League centre back!
willie-bell-in-rothley Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Signing Huth would be a massive boost for next season, he is unflapable, super cool on the ball and reads the game well
Guest Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 He's a leader with Prem experience. Something we didn't have before he came. It's no coincidence we've won so many since his arrival but not before.
Suffolk exile Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 If we survive we have to get him permanently! I agree that he is the best CB since Elliott!
AyewJoking Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 He's played 90 mins in 8 league games for us. W4 D2 L2 14pts Champions league Form. Got to hope that he gets back fit for our last 4 games AND we sign him to a 3 year contract in the summer. Pearson only does 4 year deals (unless your name is Lloyd Dyer)

SomalianFox15 Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Hated Huth before he played for us, absolutely love him now. Fantastic defender.
eunmac Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 Do we think he's feeling a bit happier at Leicester now? Remember this? "Miserable new signings: Robert Huth looks gutted about his transfer…" http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/row-zed/miserable-new-signings-robert-huth-5090955
foxfanazer Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 Hated Huth before he played for us, absolutely love him now. Fantastic defender.Yeah I always thought of him as a bit of a thug and just a long ball merchant but he's actually very classy on and off the ball. His positional know how is terrific
J.Lisemore Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 Signing of the season by a mile. As well as Esteban has played recently, Huth has been the missing link at the back that we desperately needed. Just need to get him signed up permanently now and happy days.
