Ollie93 Posted 8 June 2015 Posted 8 June 2015 Just shows what a great scouting team we have bringing In Vardy and now he's been capped for England and one of our highest earners. It makes me trust Pearson and the club a lot on who they bring in.
RonnieTodger Posted 8 June 2015 Posted 8 June 2015 Surprised people are turning their noses up at him so quickly. I thought he looked boss despite them being relegated a couple years ago. Can't say I watched them that much this year but the front 3 of Dicko, Afobe and Sako has been lethal by the looks of it. I'd say get him in.
conLAD logan Posted 8 June 2015 Posted 8 June 2015 No one should be aware? So the club aren't going to have external accountants to audit them....hmmmmmmmmmm you know what I meant, of course some people will be made aware during their field of work like accountants for the club etc but no on on this forum
AKCJ Posted 8 June 2015 Posted 8 June 2015 I must admit, I find it very funny that anyone would dare suggest what each player is earning considering nobody on here has a Scooby Doo.

Happy Fox Posted 8 June 2015 Posted 8 June 2015 I don't think he is a bad player personally will score goals and create a fair few, probably an upgrade on Knockaert. Still would need another winger imo.
Heymister2015 Posted 8 June 2015 Posted 8 June 2015 we've replaced konchesky who is a squad player with an international, champions league playing left back. And potentially replaced knockeart a squad player with no pace, strengh and gives the ball away all the time with a big, strong, powerful, quick winger that causes major problems! Both upgrades. Just need to get Cambiasso, huth and two new players for the starting 11 ie a partner for Cambiasso and a striker thats an upgrade on Ulloa.
Donut Posted 8 June 2015 Posted 8 June 2015 Not good enough to command the wages, and not good enough full stop.

conLAD logan Posted 8 June 2015 Posted 8 June 2015 How do you know? I'm pretty convinced considering the range of people's 'sources' on here aren't even credible to listen to, it's alway 'their mate knows someone' it's also very likely a player wouldn't mention what wages they are on as it is likely against their contract to do so. If you honestly think that sako would be offered 50k a week here then you are sadly mistaken. We are a well run club who operate to comply within set boundaries that are realistic for a club of our size, not spouting 50k on someone who hasn't proven themselves at the highest level.
conLAD logan Posted 8 June 2015 Posted 8 June 2015 Also, why would some high ranking leicester officials whom could only possibly know about our players wages even bother with their time on this forum :')

Fez of Mahrez Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 I heard he's opening a male grooming parlour with Upson. It's going to be called Bak Sak and Crap.
Guest Col city fan Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 Just doesn't strike me as the fabled 'Pearson type signing'...whatever that actually is? Just not consistent enough a performer. He's not bad..but I think we now need to set our sights higher.

He's not bad..but I think we now need to set our sights higher. I'll repeat what I said in the other thread, we can't go out and spend £8m on every player. We need quite a few players this year to replace those out of contact, whilst also trying to improve the squad. So yes, we could probably do better than Sako, but that would probably require us going out and spending a large fee, for essentially a back up / squad player. I would much rather improve the squad for free with the likes of Fuchs, McAuley and Sako, replacing Konch, Upson and Knockaert. Leaving us with some fairly decent cash to spent on two or three large fee players.

Just as long as we then do go and get the two or three players you are talking about to really improve the quality. But I think we will... Good post.

Just as long as we then do go and get the two or three players you are talking about to really improve the quality. But I think we will... Good post. With survival secured and the club now a much more attractive proposition than it was 12 months ago I can see us making our first 8 figure signing this window with a couple £2-5mil players also arriving to strengthen. Pearson has proved with the signings of Ulloa and Kramaric that he isn't afraid to spend money, when necessary, when it's at his disposal. Can see that happening on at least 3 players this window, especially if Cambiasso does not resign with us.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 What people need to understand is that the club don't look at deals in terms of £ per week. They put deals together based on a number of things but principally how much a player will cost over the length of the contract. For example, let's say Sako comes on a free transfer and gets £50k per week on a 3 year deal = total is £7.8m. If he cost us a £3.5m transfer fee (not unreasonable) and £30k pw wages = total is £8.1m. It's better to look at the full package rather than worrying if Player X is worth £X per week on a free. In my humble opinion, Sako would be a more than decent addition to the squad.

hackneyfox Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 Don't the players look at what others are earning per week though? Isn't that why there is a cap on salaries? If that actually exists of course.

I know players are stupid, but I'm sure they realise that someone out of contract can demand more than some who isn't. Due to the fact there is no fee involved.
