yorkie1999 Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Or we could go for the old 4-4-3-1 and hope no-one notices.
Guest Papasmurf Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Hmmmmm, if that's true it's not the sort of cash I'd be comfortable chucking at somebody totally unproven at premier league level.
chapero82 Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Hmmmmm, if that's true it's not the sort of cash I'd be comfortable chucking at somebody totally unproven at premier league level. That is a crazy wage last season we would not offer that to anybody
Swiper Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Maybe give him a look at left-center mid in the 3-4-3? This could be an unbelievably pacey midfield.
Wymsey Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 I imagine it's for direct competition for Albrighton or Mahrez.
yorkie1999 Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 I don't know how you look at these sort of things, I presume he's on a free and at 50k a week, that's about 8 million over a 3 year contract, or do you buy someone like Kameric for 8 million and pay them 40k a week which is about 14 million over the same period plus he'd get a percentage of the 8 million.
Swiper Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 I imagine it's for direct competition for Albrighton or Mahrez. Probably more Mahrez/Nugent than Albrighton.
pazzerfox Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Jason Bourne @JasonBourne1986 2h2 hours ago We've been told by @Tim_Spiers_Star that #LCFC are in "pole position" to sign Sako as they've "met his wage demands."
MPH Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Good look to him and you if true. He should be commended for sticking with you when you went down to division 1. Good bit of loyalty, there....
yorkie1999 Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Is Jason Bourne more reliable than Stringer? Yes, Stringers always late with the papers on sunday morning.
Babylon Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Hmmmmm, if that's true it's not the sort of cash I'd be comfortable chucking at somebody totally unproven at premier league level. As has been said time and time again, it's no different to paying £5m for the bloke and 30k a week. That's if, and it's a very big IF... we're actually offering him anything close to that. The reality is, nobody probably knows what he wants or what we're offering.

And maybe John Rudkin... Possibly a couple of accountants too...
dayday Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Is Jason Bourne more reliable than Stringer? if you go on the radio Leicester and listen again to the phone in,its about 20 mins in,the guy talking is Tim Spiers
Wymsey Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 if you go on the radio Leicester and listen again to the phone in,its about 20 mins in,the guy talking is Tim Spiers I mean in general.

yorkie1999 Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 He spent about £25000 on his bar bill in Vegas. Half a weeks wages then, seems fair to me.
kingpowerout Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Why are people moaning about £50k a week like it's their own money. If Pearson wants him and that's what we've got to pay to fend off the competition then so be it. Like a previous guy said the club looks at the cost of the package over the term of the contract. There is no transfer fee involved so that free's up more for wages, he'll probably work out cheaper than paying a £8M fee for a player and putting him on £30k per week over 3 years (not done the maths so don't quote me on this!!)
The Bear Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Our local radio is BBC WM. 95.6FM. Tim Spiers is the new Wolves correspondent for the Express & Star which is the local rag. The club generally don't have anything to do with them because of past undue negative stories. They still get odd snippets of information but most of their sources are Twitter and Forums. Sako doesn't work in anything other than a wide role or a wide forward. Play him centrally and he'll be naff. We've tried it before and it just doesn't suit him, he gets stifled. And yes he is a very genuinely nice guy. You won't have any trouble from him and he'll fit in with the squad straight away. Especially if you have any French speaking players.
MC Prussian Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 No, genuine. I have no idea where you're going to play him if you stick with three at the back and wing-backs though. You can't play Schlupp, Fuchs and Sako in the same team. I'm not sure you can even play any two out of those three in the same team. It'd have to be 4-4-2 with Fuchs behind Sako/Schlupp. I've yet to see Schlupp in a proper left midfielder role, so that scenario of yours looks rather unlikely.
