MPH Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 What an incredible turn of events. 6 wins out of 7 games. A huge turnaround in our fortunes. So what's changed? So why the big turn around in our fortunes ? And let's be honest we played well in some games earlier this season but were pretty woeful in others.. There's so many possible things... Here's a few I think it could be. Lady Luck is finally smiling at us. 3 at the back. Huth cambiasso's experience Vardy finding form again Players Getting used to the prem. Pearson getting used to the prem. Maybe a mixture of the above? Maybe nothing has changed and we have an easy run in. I'd be interested to know what others think...
EnglishOxide Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Nothing major. A combination of no dodgy refereeing decisions going against us and slices of bad luck like own goals. Then of course you do have to factor in that apart from Konchesky and Huth who only came in in January none of our team had any Prem experience so of course it has taken some time to adjust.
Raw Dykes Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 The planets aligning. I think Huth's been a big part of it, as well as Vardy hitting his stride. I also think we hit a nice part of the fixture list at a perfect time. We played three clubs in a row who were safe and nowhere near as motivated as us. That really let us play ourselves into form and generate a great buzz around the place. Even when we weren't picking up points for months on end, we still played well a lot of the time. When people talk about fine margins, this is what they mean.
Raw Dykes Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Huth, Vardy and Kasper. We've now got a spine to the team. Yeah! Schmeichel's been like a new signing since his return from injury. Improved bucketloads. One clean sheet pre-injury? I've lost count how many since he's been back in the team.
Babylon Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Huth has brought the defence together... Plus finding a formation that's solid but also allows for attacking players. Oh and everyone him behind the team!!!
Steven Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Lady Luck is finally smiling at us. 3 at the back. Huth cambiasso's experience Vardy finding form again Players Getting used to the prem. Pearson getting used to the prem. All of the above plus a change in mindset by Pearson.
ronnup Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Huth and using our wing backs better has been instrumental. Also the fans have been huge
Clever Fox Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 The biggest change was from Nigel and for that he deserves the credit. It took him until Christmas to find out what he had amongst the squad. Early season we were predictable going forward and weak at the back. Moore started well but then struggled. The Premiership probably came a little early for him. Then Konchesky was only ok while De Laet was awful. Simpson a little steadier when he came in but still not good enough. Many of us were calling for Wasyl to start. Up front Ulloa wasn't getting any service and also trying to find his place in the Team. We were playing wingers but never getting any decent crosses into the Box ( aside from utd Game ) Because they were constantly checking back and trying to go inside. In Midfield NP didn't know who to play with everyone getting a run there and nothing happening. No forward passes cutting open defences and leaking goals at the back. Then we signed Huth who quickly showed his experience and class in taking command of the Centre of defence, urging the others on still losing but getting closer. Then Albrighton a few cameo appearances and showed the type of approach that was needed by firing in plenty of dangerous balls into the box.Cambiasso began to show his class also. Wi Simpson injured and De Laet still struggling we went to a three at the back . Then things really started to improve, confidence grew players were fighting as if there lives depended on it. Then Kasper came back in and to be fair to him has been twice the player that went out injured. As I've said many times. Sometimes players learn more watching for a while from the stands. Mahrez today another example. that turnaround is what's led us to the brink of safety. Which I'm confident we should be ok. while NP picks the team a lot of credit must go to all of the players as the experience of Hammond, Huth and Nugent and Konchesky must also played a part. Not forgetting the brilliant part our own fans have played. To the young Fans now you know why the Foxes never quit.
foxfanazer Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Mixture of all those things. Coincidence is sky high and we have built amazing momentum
shailen Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 The first two games of the run definitely luck. We were playing like that in a lot of games and luck wasn't on our side, but it definitely was against West Ham and to an extent West Brom. Then we built some momentum and confidence and we are where we are now. Had Kouyate scored for West Ham or King not made that run, I don't think we would have got the results we have had. Finally the atmosphere.
Babylon Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 We actually attack teams and try to win.As we have before and lost.... More to it than that.
Fox92 Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 As we have before and lost.... More to it than that. Yeah but playing 5 in midfield in games such as Hull City at home didn't help much.
Clever Fox Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Were also playing with a more aggressive and higher tempo.
Clever Fox Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 £225K a head. Is that the Bonus the players are on to stay up.
coolhandfox Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 Huth providing leadership and stability at the back with Morgan and Was! Playing attacking wingbacks! Return to form of Vardy, Kasper and Ulloa More aggressive and higher tempo pressing game. Cambiamo come to term with the PL, seems to be fitter then ever! Flexible formation, can be a 3-5-2, 3-4-3 or a 5-3-2 without changing personnel, allows to manage games better
ozleicester Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 A - TI - TUDE Manager, players and fans...must win brought out our best....but, we aint finished, yet.
wattolcfc Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 Best home fans in the league certainly make at least a 10% difference I'd say
