Danizen Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Expect an unnecessarily large number of riot police to appear on 85 minutes, just like Brighton, last year. Speaking of which, did that guy who ran on after that game get a ban? Harsh, if he did.

If i remember correctly he told the court he doesn't really go football and he did it for a £10 bet and he got let off!
melrose Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Why would the fans want to go on the pitch? It's traditional after the last game!
EnglishOxide Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Revenue from tickets and merchandise is a drop in the ocean compared to the Premier League TV money. You paid to support City and to see entertainment/football. You don't start taking the piss like running on the pitch with no real reason. That's not the service you signed up for. You are the same sort of people who say 'ahh, if it weren't for us fans you wouldn't be where you are today', which completely discredits the club and players who have dedicated their life to football and being good at it.
NORFOLK FOX Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 knowing our luck we would get a massive fine and points deducted and end up going down if we invaded the pitch
Danizen Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 knowing our luck we would get a massive fine and points deducted and end up going down if we invaded the pitch. I'd murder someone!
Guest LCFC_World Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 knowing our luck we would get a massive fine and points deducted and end up going down if we invaded the pitch You can only imagine Pearsons reaction to that happening
Ollie93 Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 I'd give a lot to "just" go to Wembley to see us play in an FA Cup final. Over avoiding relegation? I know which one i'd chose.
Raj Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 If we survived on the day then yes. We know we are safe already so no. Let the players and staff do their ting in it!
AKCJ Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Whilst I think we should all go bloody mental at the final whistle, pre-planned pitch invasions are up there with songsheets and half and half scarfs in terms of embarrassment.
sdb Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 I really want to give the players proper recognition during the lap of honour, so no.
Matt Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Last year I wanted one desperately, we did one, infact we did two cos' we got on the pitch at Huddersfield too - That was probably the better of the two really. This year, meh, not really bothered, if there is one i'll join in but i'm not too bothered. IF it was the case we secured safety against QPR then yes i'd be all for doing one and wanting to do one but it's not, we're safe already and i'd be nice to enjoy saying thank-you to the players and staff for doing a wonderful job in the last month or two - and applauding them for proving me wrong.
Illusion35 Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 I want to see the players do a full lap of honour after the final whistle, then if people want to go on the pitch I think it's OK and will probably wander on. I will be annoyed if there's a mass invasion on the sound of the final whistle, as it's not necessary and makes the players disappear too quickly.
iamafox Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Are you asking this because there wasn't one on Saturday?

Guest Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Can't see the point unless it's spontaneous and driven by us actually achieving something on the day. Given that we've already achieved it I think it's doubtful
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Pitch invasions should be spontaneous, reacting to the moment of joy and uncontrolled emotion. To do this after QPR will be contrived, and will curtail the the anticipated lap of honour the players and staff richly deserve. I was there last season and the invasion spoiled the moment to some degree for me. I'd prefer that we stayed in the stands and enjoyed it, and left the players and their families safe to enjoy celebrating with us without fear for their wives and children's safety.
Narborough_fox Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 As people have said if we'd secured survival after a win against QPR then yes but invading despite having been safe before the game just seems extremely forced.
Claridge Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Yes okay fair enough, let them do their lap of honor, they deserve that. But it is us fans that pay to watch the game, pay their wages. We deserve something too. Its our club as well as the owners, and if the fans end up doing a pitch invasion then i personally do not see a problem with that. No we don't pay their wages. Sky does, the money from fans is very little compared to the wage bill. Could argue that you buy sky so your entitled to invade the pitch but you would be a bit of a twat
