kingcarr21 Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 So whats the general consensus? Will there be a pitch invasion at full time regardless of the score? I saw QPR fans do a pitch invasion after the Newcastle game. Yeah lets celebrate getting relegated and having a bunch of talentless footballers with no desire. Just wondered if others are expecting a pitch invasion after the final game and if so will you be joining in?
One Legged Beaver Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Don't see much point myself. This game is basically just a friendly, admittedly with a few million pounds at stake for us.

It would be good to actually be able to applaud the players/staff after the game with a lap around the pitch. It sort of killed it last season, with players and family having to run off the pitch, some right knobs last season.
Ollie93 Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 I think some will try, just like Brighton at home last year
Haydos Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Why? We're already confirmed as staying up, we've not got much else to celebrate. I'd laugh at any other club that did it in our position.
Guest LCFC_World Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 I'm sure back in 'the day' there was a pitch invasion after every last game of the season.. So i don't see why not
MPH Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Tough one. it will be tough if Nige or one of the owners personally make a plea for us not to as i feel what they have done is worthy of respect...

Because of the pitch invasion last season it is up there with one of my favorite games of all time. (2nd pitch invasion not the first)
Stevosevic Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Pointless. Would be different if we were confirmed safe on the day
Staffs Fox Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Not for me, I really don't like them, If there was one I wouldn't join in but if people wanted to then it's up to them, It seems to be happening with alarming frequency, teams to doing it for any old thing now. Staying up dramatically on the last day is an acceptable reason I suppose but when you see Villa doing it for winning a QF and sides doing it when they've only won Play-off semi's etc it looks ridiculous. Especially if you don't actually go up
stripeyfox Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 We'd look like a bunch of complete tools given that our safety is already assured as well as denying us a chance to properly applaud the players on their lap or honour (or whatever it is called). For that reason, I'm out
whitlock Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Seriously? Because of the pitch invasion last season it is up there with one of my favorite games of all time. (2nd pitch invasion not the first) No offence but, it wasn't anywhere near any favourite game of mine, its was a nothing game for us, not some much Donny but yeah. Wanting to see players, family and the cup being paraded around the ground, which IMO was spoilt.
Haydos Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Seriously? Because of the pitch invasion last season it is up there with one of my favorite games of all time. (2nd pitch invasion not the first) It was a bunch of chavy kids that ruined it for a lot of people, including the players.
Bert Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Can we at least let the players and staff get the whole way around the pitch this time?
ramboacdc Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 i think there will be. i had a ticket for row a in the east stand but now im up in the west row L. if everyone infront of me is gone i will take it its happening. we have pulled off the greatest escape in history. i think there will be lots of stewards though (like scunthorpe in league 1 when they stopped the conga line from the kop) doncaster last year it was a very agressive on the pitch. more of a force than a let us do it.
Fox92 Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 What's the obsession with pitch invasions? It's like when a team wins a semi-final, apparently it's now a given that everybody runs on the pitch.
Harry - LCFC Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Just don't think it's the right occasion for it. Hate how some people get all snobbish about it though. I despise the (usually) middle class twat who turns his nose up at the unwashed hordes who disrupt his afternoon of leisure.
Babylon Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Nah... that pitch is slippy as feck. About put my hip out during the last one.
TOMBlcfc Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Wtf, what's the actual point [emoji23] I know it was a big deal our revival but It's not worth a pitch invasion, we haven't particularly achieved anything other than what 16 other teams will have done [emoji23] Last year it was forced enough, if we did it this year it would just look pathetic!
purpleronnie Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Not sure we'd ever have a pitch invasion even if we won the Premeir League.
LCFC FOX Posted 18 May 2015 Posted 18 May 2015 Don't mind them, don't see why people think they're cringe and pathetic but I also don't see why people love them. If it happens it happens. I just hope it's at the final whistle this time instead of when the players are walking round. This way fans get to celebrate on the pitch for a bit and then go back to there seats for the lap of honour
