Guest Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 Can't get why Gabriel's ban has been rescinded? He did back heel Costa didn't he? Great to see Costa banned for three though. I agree. It wasn't a nasty back heel but he did it like a stupid petulant child. Both players should have been sent off earlier anyway and received bans.
filbertstreet Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 How the Premier League table will look at end of season: Where does your club finish? http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/466287/Final-predicted-Premier-League-table A load of bollock but.................. we're not at the bottom wtf
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 Costa just isn't right in the head imo.
weller54 Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 Looks like they heard you ... he's got a 3 game ban now .... Cheating little toe rag !! Unfortunately Gabriel may now be able to face us on Saturday .... bugger !! Gabriel is no Angel.. Or, hang on, wait a minute....
Dan Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 Costa's rightly been done but Gabriel was hardly innocent. Mike Dean will no doubt get a game this weekend though. He is woeful, utterly, utterly woeful. Everything I cannot be doing with in a referee.

Liverpool to only score 12 goals all season and Arsenal to only net 21? Whatever those experts are drinking, I want some.
johnny the fox Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 Liverpool to only score 12 goals all season and Arsenal to only net 21? Whatever those experts are drinking, I want some. yeah..no way Liverpool will get anywhere near 12.
The Doctor Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 yeah..no way Liverpool will get anywhere near 12. I did think they'd get more than that, but actually in all domestic competitions they've only got one more than joe dodoo.
bovril Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 I did think they'd get more than that, but actually in all domestic competitions they've only got one more than joe dodoo. I love this stat.
The Doctor Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 I love this stat. Shows just how well Brendan Rodgers three year plan is going.
MC Prussian Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 Shows just how well Brendan Rodgers three year plan is going. You mean Three-Year Plan as in getting sacked after three years.
Tuna Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 Not sure what Liverpool have done to deserve such a hopeless manager.
Captain... Posted 24 September 2015 Posted 24 September 2015 Costa's rightly been done but Gabriel was hardly innocent. Mike Dean will no doubt get a game this weekend though. He is woeful, utterly, utterly woeful. Everything I cannot be doing with in a referee. Costa was that close to Gabriel that he couldn't move without touching him. He may still get banned for his reaction to getting sent off, but this supposed back heel/tread on his toes was nothing, not even a kick out.
Jazzy_Jeff Posted 24 September 2015 Posted 24 September 2015 I'd love us to pick Wasilewski when we play Chelsea with the sole job of marking/decapitating Costa. He wouldn't know what's hit him
MC Prussian Posted 24 September 2015 Posted 24 September 2015 So, Big Shteve admits Newcastle United are close to a crisis: http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/34344057 I find the timing rather odd and as a fan, I'd never want my manager to admit defeat that way. What the team needs is optimism (not the blind one, mind) or at least realism and a steady outlook. A bit like Carver's antics in front of the camera at a point in time where his players needed something else on the motivational level.
filbertway Posted 24 September 2015 Posted 24 September 2015 It's a squad desperately lacking spirit and work rate. No manager will be able to turn them round, they need a Pearson style manager to go in, get rid of the bad eggs and rebuild.
kingcarr21 Posted 24 September 2015 Posted 24 September 2015 How long until we see the first managerial casualty? Advocaat, McClaren and Rodgers are on thin ice. Newcastles next 4 fixtures are Chelsea (H) Man City (A) Norwich (H) Sunderland (A) Not likely Newcastle will get anything in their next 2 games. They will struggle against Norwich. Sunderland is the big one. Sunderland next 4 fixtures are Man UTD (A) West Ham (H) West Brom (A) Newcastle (H) Tough games for Sunderland with Man U at Old Trafford and West Hams away record. Pulis likes his defence. We are looking at October 25th being the crunch game for Sunderland and Newcastle. If someone suffers a heavy defeat i think its curtains for them. I would fancy Sunderland to win at home. Relegation this season would be catastrophic with the TV deal coming in next season. Fingers crossed we never get dragged into a relegation fight this season. The sooner we hit 40 points the better.
bovril Posted 24 September 2015 Posted 24 September 2015 How long before we see the first managerial casualty in the literal sense of the word? Surely the next logical step for Newcastle and Sunderland fans is a 70th minute managerial assassination attempt, followed by a mass stadium suicide.
davieG Posted 24 September 2015 Author Posted 24 September 2015 McLaren needs to stick to Geordie tradition and get himself sent off deliberatly

I actually think it's pathetic management/ leadership to be honest. Not quite Carver level I don't think but to admit you're in the **** so openly is pretty ridiculous. They have to be in one of the three relegation slots with him in charge.
StanSP Posted 24 September 2015 Posted 24 September 2015 I'd love us to pick Wasilewski when we play Chelsea with the sole job of marking/decapitating Costa. He wouldn't know what's hit him I actually can't think of anyone else in this league who could rattle Costa as much as he could. Or at least give him a taste of his own medicine.
Dan Posted 24 September 2015 Posted 24 September 2015 Hope Cardiff turn to crap. I had a fiver on them and Newcastle both going down this season.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 24 September 2015 Posted 24 September 2015 Hope Cardiff turn to crap. I had a fiver on them and Newcastle both going down this season. you're mental
MC Prussian Posted 24 September 2015 Posted 24 September 2015 you're mental No, Vincent Tan is mental (if you base your prognosis on his publicity stunts with Cardiff in the past).

The sooner we hit 40 points the better. I love the idea of both Sunerland and Newcastle losing their next 3, then the derby being a dour 0-0 with zero shots on target leaving both managers fired the next day. Aardvark is most likely to go out of the two, and probably before the end of October too. Ashley always seems to have some sort of demented attachment to his managers regardless of how poor they've consistently done, so Maclarens job is safe for a long while yet methinks. Still perplexed at how he keeps getting managerial jobs seeing how he's been consistently useless for decades. Rodgers will probably be gone before October.
