Premier League 2015/16 Stuff it in here.

I can see this season being one of the most open of all time.

Quite a few teams that could finish mid-table, Liverpool and Southampton included.

I've been saying for a while now that the gap between 6th and 18th/19th will be closer than ever points wise.

I didn't watch the game so can't comment but I'm sure their main HF lads would have been there. Assumed you were referring to their home support being good 'cos away from home they are pretty average.

What's ultra bollocks anyway?

They're better than most away.

That group of guys in the corner of the Holmesdale end in black.  Presume you're a fan, didn't mean to offend.

Looks entertaining to me on paper, two sides with threat going forward, pace and energy.

West Brom v Everton however on MNF could be a bit of a snoozefest.

Is this Sky actually helping the teams playing in Europe? Man Yoo, Chelsea etc. all got their games out the way on Saturday.

English teams need all the help they can get when theyre playing in Europe!

In all seriousness i dont know whether thats a factor or not. It probably is yes, but then again i wouldnt be against having the games evenly spaced out for those teams.

Playing a wednesday night and then playing at 12:30 on a saturday would just be stupid. As it was a league cup night it didnt matter so much as it gave a few teams chance to rest a few.

To put our start in to some sort of context I had a look back over the past 8 premier league seasons to see what impact having a start like ours had on a team's season.

First thing to note is that over those 8 years no team has got relegated having had more than 9 points from their first 6 matches. That would certainly suggest that whilst myself and I believe most fans still have a 40-point target at the front of our minds, this is certainly a pessimistic view given that relegation after gaining 12 points from 6 matches would be a massive statistical outlier. Typically the highest amount of points by one of the relegated three sides after 6 games is 7 points but in 2012/13 each of Wigan, QPR and Reading managed to have 4 points or fewer at this stage.

Secondly over those 8 seasons, 30 teams have got 12 points or more after 6 games. Of those 30 teams only 4 finished outside the top 6 (Southampton 2014/15 - 7th, Liverpool 2009/10 - 7th, West Ham 2008/9 - 9th and Man City 2007/8 - 9th). This suggests that the non-established teams do tend to fall away somewhat as the season progresses (no surprise) but retain a top-half position nevertheless.

Personally I've still got my sights set on 40 points, hopefully 42 to improve on last season and possibly a cup run, but recent history suggests that looking at it a bit more objectively we should be aiming for the top half after a start like this.

I think you're my favourite football poster on here

This is what the 3rd time WBA have played on a monday this season?

Well no game involving a Pulis side can be classed as super so may as well shift it to Monday.

Interesting stats

So it seems Jack Grealish has decided to opt for England so that will be him in the squad come Thursday with guaranteed game time then

And the premier leagues top scorer won't be anywhere near it.

All based on names rather than form. Shame

This is pretty turgid stuff.

Thierry Henry can't have been talking about WBA v Everton when he was advertising "The Best League in the World".

Somebody on Sunday Supplement said 2 goal Sturridge shouldn't walk straight back into the England team because we have players like Kane who are world class and on form lol

Really is hard to believe that West Brom could be only a point behind us if they win. Have hardly noticed them whilst everyone in the media has been raving how great our start has been!

Thought there was something wrong with the TV when I first switched it on as there was no sound at all. Plus it's appalling how West Brom can't fill such a small stadium.

It's a pretty small town tbh.
