if palace are spending that on wickham, then unless chelski or spurs come in for austin, can we have him for the 12 million on deadline day. as his options seem to be running out, if he want's to stay in london.

may have to take barton as part of the deal mind.

With Austin available for £15 million it absolutely boggles my mind that anybody would pay £9 million plus for Wickham.

To be fair, Wickham has been stuck out on the wing for Sunderland. If he plays regularly upfront then he could do alright. Maybe not £9m alright though.

he wouldn't, the service is absolutely woeful. Doesn't matter how good you are really

Spurs' Romanian centre-back Vlad Chiriches is going to Italy, SSC Napoli to be precise.

I got slated for mentioning him as he was supposedly "one of the worse centre backs to ever grace the premier league" funny how he then goes & joins one of Italy's top clubs!!

I think I was off by £7m..

But still, £9m is funny. But, I bet he ends up scoring a ton.

Wickham isn't that bad. When not stuck on the wing and with decent service, he'll bag a few. Still relatively young too. Decent signing for me, if he does well he's a bargain, if he flops £9m isn't that much nowadays.
