Carl the Llama Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 Sterling is only 21, he's obviously not going to be the finished product yet. Fantastic talent, why we love writing off players before they've hit puberty in this country I don't know. He's certainly not 'crap,' for crying out loud. Dude runs like a lady though. Â Can't deny that.
fuchsntf Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 Man City's season could not really get any worse thh Without Sterling, Man.ci t y will improve.Hes been bog avg since he signed. I hope he doesnt make it for the Euros. Dont get me wrong, this could be the shake down he needs.Hes got it in him, maybe he needs a season to come good...

he might not be crap but he is pretty shit.
Fox92 Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 Stripped of his caps? Â What are they gonna do, scrub his name from match records and force him to relinquish his memories of playing for the national team? Â I imagine they mean taking the caps from him. That's all they can do because he has played for England that's now part of history and cannot be changed.
Carl the Llama Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 I imagine they mean taking the caps from him. That's all they can do because he has played for England that's now part of history and cannot be changed. Cheers, had me proper confused. Â Upsets me that Scouse couldn't treat my question with the same sincerity.
ScouseFox Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 i sincerely hope they put them in a raffle and some good comes out of thisÂ
Soar Fox Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 We will win the Euro's if Raheem "no brain" Sterling doesn't play. Good job he isn't as slow as GTF or the lad would probably cleaning toilets or something.
Guest ttfn Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 I can't understand people's problem with Sterling - he's a good player. He's probably not a £49 million player, maybe not even a £29 million player but he's one of the most talented players we've produced for a while. Not sure about taking him this summer now he's injured for most of the season but he's a player we should be thinking about utilising in the best possible way in the future.
ScouseFox Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 probably the best/most exciting/biggest prospects of any english player for a decade. since rooney i guess. like miquel said we just dont seem to want to have any good players. we abuse all our players who are rightly abused because they're rubbish and then we get really good ones and claim they're rubbish too. we should probably just give up national football thinking about it.Â
Soar Fox Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 If Sterling is one of the best exciting prospects we've produced in a decade, then yeah I agree we should just give up.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 i feel like ive not posted absolute shite when @@ttfn agrees with me
Guest ttfn Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 Dont think that it's outrageous to say he's the most gifted one to come through since Rooney. Unbelievably the only other contender is probably Kane. Maybe if Wilshere hadn't got injured he'd be ahead in the pecking order. Hart would also be a shout - probably the only English player to "emerge" since Rooney who's played regularly for a championship winning side.
ScouseFox Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 he's 21 and he's been european golden boy, nominated twice for pfa young player of the year, liverpool young player of the year (x2), a driving force in a team that should've won the league, the brightest spark in an england world cup campaign and transferred for 50 mill from one of europe's biggest clubs to another. he's bagged 10+ goals three seasons in a row.  he is a very good player and obviously will improve and has potential to be one of the best players we've had in decades. shame he's injured, would've been a key player in the euros if we played to his strengths.Â
foxes161 Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 Sterling is very talented and with pep coming in maybe thats what he needs to get to that right level.
Soar Fox Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 Pep likes to play football, it will take him 2 minutes to realise Sterling isn't very good at it.
STUHILL Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 Sterling is very talented and with pep coming in maybe thats what he needs to get to that right level.  Not so sure, shows signs of it but not enough to suggest he will be one of the best in the Prem.  De Bruyne and Silva are on another level, which not sure he can reach. Pep could change that though if at all possibleÂ
foxes161 Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 Pep likes to play football, it will take him 2 minutes to realise Sterling isn't very good at it. Cmon he is very good at it, just not consistant with at times. Pep can help alot in development.
Sammy Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 Sterling's injury cements Vardy's place on the wing then.Â
Koke Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 Pep likes to play football, it will take him 2 minutes to realise Sterling isn't very good at it. Pep likes players who have a brain, not speed merchants with erratic decision makings. That said, he's 21 so I will wait til I judge him, til he's 24 or 25. I hope Pep teaches him a thing or two about playing football or else he might turn into another brain dead player like Walcott in 5 years time.
Koke Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 Â he is a very good player and obviously will improve and has potential to be one of the best players we've had in decades. shame he's injured, would've been a key player in the euros if we played to his strengths. If Sterling is the best we can offer on International stage then we might as well pack it in and call it a day.
ScouseFox Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 If Sterling is the best we can offer on International stage then we might as well pack it in and call it a day.  why? he was voted the best young player in europe 18 months ago, he's literally the best young player anyone could offer at that stage, not just england.  as ttfn said, and has been obvious and absolutely mind boggling for a good year almost, people seem to think that because he was transferred for more than he was probably worth he's "shit". he's probably not yet worth 50 mill but since when did not being worth 50 mill make you shit?Â
foxfanazer Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 Suarez made Sterling look world class that season but he's really not that special imo
Koke Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 why? he was voted the best young player in europe 18 months ago, he's literally the best young player anyone could offer at that stage, not just england.  as ttfn said, and has been obvious and absolutely mind boggling for a good year almost, people seem to think that because he was transferred for more than he was probably worth he's "shit". he's probably not yet worth 50 mill but since when did not being worth 50 mill make you shit? Walcott was also that highly rated when he was 20, and look at the state of him now. Oxlade-Chamberlain will also go that way soon if he doesn't buck up his ideas. I'm not convinced with these speed merchants until they actually produce the goods. Sterling is 21 so I will give him time but I'm not expecting him to become a world beater.
Soar Fox Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 Anderson has also won European golden boy. Anyone who plays for a decent European team who's under 21 will be in with a chance of winning it.
