Players, managers and coaches leave clubs all of the time but Leicester City will remain. They'd ve leaving us in a much stronger state than when they joined I'd be Fookin furious! Them staying has been a huge difference!

Steve Walsh is the most sought after scout in the country, no way he is going to Villa if/when he leaves us. Can see Shakey maybe going but having a crack at the Champions League would be big to turn down. Nige should assemble a new team of Kev Phillips and Chrissy Powell. They will be fine in the Championship, they have some decent players at the club. They need to clear the deadwood to stop the rot and make one or two canny signings. Sounds familier!

I agree. I get fed up with hearing how we are only up there because the P/L is weak this season. I thought Pardew summed us up well after the Palace match as a beautifully balanced team. Newcastle are just one P/L club of many that shows just spending money doesn't bring success. There is so much more that goes into it, starting with a manager who knows how to spend money on the right players who are actually needed, and fit in both tactically and as a person.

The whole club is in such a mess and it's no conicidence that every manager has failed under him (aside Pardew finishing 5th in his first season before being hounded out and Hughton who did very well but was then sacked!). You only have to look at Villa, it's the same sort of thing. Every manager there has failed since O'Neill left.

Their biggest issue compared to last time they went down is the number of foreigners they have. In the champ last time their usual match day squad had around 12-13 UK players in it, with several others who had been playing in the UK for years and years. This time they have a few too many foreigners who might not fancy the challenge of the championship.

It's a shame Wally McClown's gone though, because he's calmed down a bit, but he's still expecting relegation! I agree such a great club has been so mismanaged by a series of terrible appointments and decisions.
