Bluetintedspecs Posted 28 March 2016 Posted 28 March 2016 Sturridge is a good footballer but is a shite athlete. He's made of glass!
Matt Posted 28 March 2016 Posted 28 March 2016 I think you have proved Captain's point at how you have automatically wrote off Sturridge and Wilshere just because they get injuries a lot. I do not really rate Wilshere, he is not bad but Alli is lot better than him. Sturridge on other hand is genuinely decent and have worked hard to build his career after falling down pecking order due to Man City and Chelsea's riches so I thought it was harsh to write him off. Not really, because (And i'm probably gonna get laughed at for this) I rate Andy Carroll and he's a had alot of injuries, but when fit he is quality imo.
Steven Posted 29 March 2016 Posted 29 March 2016 http://www.bbc.com/sport/live/35716504 On this day Football 2008: Derby were relegated from the Premier League with a record low total of 11 points following just one win, eight draws and 29 defeats in the 2007-08 season.
foxfanazer Posted 29 March 2016 Posted 29 March 2016 Some of the vitriol the press have directed at Adam Johnson is disgusting. Yes what he's done is wrong by any sane person's standards but one of the papers has an article about one of the inmates in the same prison as him is making sexual threats about him. So he deserves to be raped in prison for what he did with a 15 year old who knew exactly what she was doing? These are the same news outlets that were outraged when Vardy called someone a Jap I know I'll probably get dogs abuse for this post but let the bloke do his time without rubbing it in.

act smiley Posted 29 March 2016 Posted 29 March 2016 Garde sacked. Weird timing. To be honest, the "Mutual Consent" seems pretty mutual on that one. He pretty clearly was pissed off at being there, so they probably wanted to get someone in with enough time to plan pre-season.
Leicesterpool Posted 29 March 2016 Posted 29 March 2016 I thought it would have happened last week in order to get someone in time for the next game even if it's someone till the end of season. Then at least the new manager had a week with the team to train. I'm not sure if he's been sacked or resigned to different things coming out, my guess is the board were waiting for him to resign, so they didn't have to pay out the rest of his wages.
StanSP Posted 29 March 2016 Posted 29 March 2016 This from a Villa fan on another forum: they asked him to go 9 days ago, they've been haggling over compensation. The national press have all but stopped with us other than "there are problems at the club" he was stitched up by that board and woeful anyway. The new board which looks increasingly like the old FA will try again but everyone employed as of 31st December 2015 needs to be removed. Paddy Reilly our head of scouting will be next apparently the German scout we employ emigrated to Australia but is still employed to Scout German football, the Portuguese scout is at uni in Bristol and others are scouts yet have never played or worked in football. It's comedy down the Villa gabby & Micah Richards are inDubai partying, that's the club captain and the first team Captain. I believe Micah even argued on Twitter they deserved to have a break after a long hard season
Rasmic123 Posted 29 March 2016 Posted 29 March 2016 hope for pearson's sake he doesnt go there, currently the bookies favourite

Nick Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 Looking at the table and remaining fixtures, I can realistically envisage a scenario where Sunderland and Newcastle stay up and Palace and Norwich are relegated. Thought I'd share that.
Bayfox Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 Dunno I think Norwich is done. Thing with Norwich is, it's almost in their own hands, they have Newcastle, Sunderland and Palace all to play, so win all 3 and those 9 points would be massive, coming off the back of a win at West Brom, you never know.

Their defending has got better though but you are right if they beat who's around them they have a chance.I somehow see Newcastle escaping, not sure why.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 Garde sacked. Weird timing. Why did they ever go for him in the first place? Pointless (almost literally) appointmentThere are 3/4 Villa fans where I work and they have all given up some time ago (re this season) but the shambles shows no signs of changing, a club in steep decline
Staffs Fox Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 Villa are the new Forest/Leeds/Sheffield Wednesday
ARM1968 Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 Pearson the man in the frame apparently. Would be a great appointment to rebuild Villa and push for promotion next season. But just how good will he be without his back room boys?
lestajigs Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 How ****ing mental if Pearson went villa, and last game of the season if they would get oht at Spurs, us win the tittle
Bayfox Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 How ****ing mental if Pearson went villa, and last game of the season if they would get oht at Spurs, us win the tittle If i could even work out what you are on about I would try. Last Days Fixtures, Newcastle v Tottenham, hope that helps.

Newcastle strike me as having the same problem scoring at the minute tho, no doubt rafa will get them more organised but they are gonna need goals to get 3 points and I can't see where they are coming from either, maybe sunderland are staying up then, defoe scores.
