ScouseFox Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 Anderson has also won European golden boy. Anyone who plays for a decent European team who's under 21 will be in with a chance of winning it. so have messi, aguero, pogba, gotze, rooney and isco. what's your point?
Soar Fox Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 so have messi, aguero, pogba, gotze, rooney and isco. what's your point? That all because you've won it doesn't make you one of the best players in the world.
Soar Fox Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 Those commenting, in his defence, that Sterling is a 'good' or 'very good' player have hit the nail squarely on the head..! He is good, probably very good but, like Sturridge, he ain't, in any way a 'world class talent' in the making....It's highly unlikely that he'll ever be England's saviour, never mind our 'talisman'. Sticks in the craw a little, (A) because we failed to sign him, and (B), because he's based at WHL, but Alli could turn out to be our top talent of the next few years! But but he won Liverpool's young player of the year ahead of Jon Flanagan.
ScouseFox Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 That all because you've won it doesn't make you one of the best players in the world. yep, nobody has (seriously) claimed he is. it's given to a player who over 30 of the world's journalists think is the best young player in europe. so just thought i'd put it out there to those rubbishing my claim he was england's best young player of late.
Samilktray Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 Me and Scouse were the founding members of the Raheem Sterling fan club. What a talent and what a hair cut.
ScouseFox Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 been a fanboy since I found out he was a regular in the Jamaican bar by mine back home. great guy.
Matt Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 Sterling should go to the Olympics, I think he'd give Tom Daley a run (Dive) for his money
ScouseFox Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 Kane is more of a talent than Sterling. that's a good shout tbf, would say he too needs more time to prove how good he could actually be. in alli, Barkley, sterling and kane we should have a core of the attack for 10+ years, and a very good core at that. we won't though, we'll phase rooney in and out for five years, play people like oxlade chamberlain and milner and keep going back to michael carrick .

Add players like Clyne, Stones, Shaw, Butland to that list and the future does look bright.
SystonFox Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 Clyne, stones and shaw aren't THAT good. Hugely over rated if anything
Fox92 Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 Clyne is massively overrated. In fact I don't rate him at all. Simpson is better.
ScouseFox Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 yeah stones is rubbish. shaw will be good isn't he like 13? butland ??? - ??? - stones - shaw dier alli - barkley sterling kane - ??? (rashford?) are all what, 21 or under? and starters for top prem clubs and english. and mostly very good at footy.
filbertway Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 I'm tired of England producing these one dimensional rapid footbsllers, Sterling, Walcott, Lennon etc I wish we produced more players like Riyad Mahrez and David Silva types who are not uber athletes but can actually dribble and see a pass with good vision. Barkley and Lallana are probably the closest we have in that respect. 2 players pretty universely disliked by England fans for some reason.
ScouseFox Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 Barkley and Lallana are probably the closest we have in that respect. 2 players pretty universely disliked by England fans for some reason. because they're english and we have to dislike all our players even the really good ones
ARTY_FOX Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 I really rate barkley. He just needs to improve his decision making at times
ScouseFox Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 I really rate barkley. He just needs to improve his decision making at times i used to wonder what people saw in him, he had good potential and some decent attributes but this season he's been great. he's always been strong and pretty quick and shown some tidy skills etc but this season he's gonna hit 10+ goals and assists in the league, very impressive. watching him and talking to season ticket holders etc it seems he runs down less blind alleys and shoots from less ridiculous positions these days. i guess that's obviously come with experience.
gurru991 Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 I really rate barkley. He just needs to improve his decision making at times I'm not too sure that Barkley will evolve too much more. What you see is what you get !
SystonFox Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 Barkley is okay. Stones just isn't all that he's hyped up to be imp. Gaff master central.

Yea exactly. The more game time he gets the better his decision making is going to be. He's got great vision and he's got to great technical ability. I think that's why it was so frustrating. He was brilliant when he first got in the team but with confidence he was on I suppose it's only natural he was going to overplay sometimes
ARTY_FOX Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 I'm not too sure that Barkley will evolve too much more. What you see is what you get ! I don't know. I think part of his problem is sometimes he's too eager to do something special and tries to force it instead of picking his moment to try for the spectacular. I think if he seems like a decent lad that wants to improve and wants to improve. Seems to have a decent attitude and for me, he's only limited by his own ambition
Matt Posted 26 March 2016 Posted 26 March 2016 Lukaku wants to leave Everton because they've not got Champions League. Welcome to Leicester, Romelu.
