Gary Eatfood Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 he's better than januzaj. On the evidence of that game he's better than Memphis and he cost £30m.
Grewks Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 On the evidence of that game he's better than Memphis and he cost £30m. memphis lacked end product...but for me was their only bright spark. made some good runs.
Gary Eatfood Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 memphis lacked end product...but for me was their only bright spark. made some good runs. Seemed to lack overall quality. The best player on the pitch for Man Utd tonight was Mata. Pure class.
ScouseFox Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 he's better than januzaj. im better than januzaj
NewburyFox Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Darmian is so poor it's unbelievable any competent winger is going to to have a field day against him Dunno what game you were watching. Looked a good defender, although didn't contribute much going forward.
Tuna Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 How much has Van Gaal spent over £250 million? And he has to play Blind at centre half. He's done an awful job since he took over. Ha Ha read that as 'playing a blind centre half'.
BoyJones Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Sherwoods tactical thinking was non existent tonight. Had no idea how to change the game. Dislike both sides, but thought man Utd coasted it, just did enough to win. Don't know the stats but apart from that header did Villa have any other shots on target, criminal for a him side.
filbertway Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Might as well show mod table games if this is the benchmark for United games this season. 2 absolute bore-fests they have produced so far.
Monk Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Both teams look poor, villa especially so. Can't see united challenging for the title playing like that
Wymsey Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Man Utd need a fresh start up-front, if they want to challenge, Rooney looks so average nowadays and slow.
Big_Nige Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Not a good game of football. Villa looked very average, no attacking threat. Thought their left back looked pretty good but of the new signings the majority are a downgrade on what they had last season.
Asha Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Unspectacular, but 6 points from 6 for United. You'd obviously take that, especially considering Chelsea and Arsenal have already dropped points. They'll obviously have to raise their game for the bigger teams but part of being successful is grinding out some results.
Dan Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 How many times have you seen him play Dan excluding FM? Caught a bit. Not loads but the ability is absolutely blatant and he's held in high regard by most Barca fans apparently. They're disappointed that they're selling him. Not sure why FM would come into it as that clearly doesn't come under seeing him play.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Poor game but good start to season to Utd. Villa didn't impress me
Dan Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 No surprise that Man Utd saw it out with ease once Herrera & Schweinsteiger came on. Surprised neither of those two started. Villa looked really, really bad. No imagination what so ever. Non-league like tactics bringing on a giant forward in an attempt to hoof it up to him rather than actually stretch Man Utd. Very early to say it but Man City are the only ones so far who have looked even close to a top side.
Wymsey Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Actually think Liverpool will finish in the final Champions League place.
tom27111 Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Actually think Liverpool will finish in the final Champions League place. You've had too many beers.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Too early to make any definitive judgements, surely? We all know the top four will be the Manchester clubs, Arsenal and Chelsea; that's about the only depressing definite.
Dan Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Yeah too early to say, just based on what we've seen so far. Wouldn't be one bit surprised if Man City turned very flat against Chelsea on Sunday and lost 0-1.
Grewks Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Where has all the 'this is our year' and 'this is our best squad since the invincibles' delusion come from with arsenal? They have made 1 signing....a bloody keeper, and they expect to be more solid and score more than last season? wow.
Donut Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Where has all the 'this is our year' and 'this is our best squad since the invincibles' delusion come from with arsenal? They have made 1 signing....a bloody keeper, and they expect to be more solid and score more than last season? wow. They bemoan their injury record and yet make no attempt to boost the squad. Its not much of a surprise when Ramsey, Wilshere, Ox, Walcott, Giroud struggle for fitness. Sort the problems out. And they need a top striker and central mid to challenge. Cant bang on about Coquelin who was a Charlton player last season like he is a midfield general. Not sure Benzema is the man either
Dan Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Bandwagon hopping and how they ended last season. It's the same every year. They're good but they're still not quite good enough. I'd hardly say goalkeeper was their main weakness either. Ospina's very good.
ealingfox Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Not that sure of it yet and pains me to say so but I reckon Sherwood's put a half-decent side together there. I think they'll have enough to get to 40ish really. They failed tonight but you can see United have a solid shape now and they will end up with a good defensive record this season. Really keen to see how we do over the next few games. We were excellent for 60 mins last week but we did concede 2 soft goals and that was one of the easiest fixtures we will face all season.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 Arsenal haven't ever properly replaced Gilberto Silva - Flamini, Diaby, Song et al - all steady enough but not in the same bracket.
