Premier League trio Leicester, West Brom and Norwich are the latest clubs reported to be keen on Town’s 27-goal Championship top scorer Daryl Murphy.

According to the Daily Star Sunday, all three are looking to sign the 32-year-old, who the paper rates at £3 million.

Murphy has been the subject of much speculation since the end of the season withStoke manager Mark Hughes also understood to be weighing up making a move.

Last week, Championship Middlesbrough were claimed to have had a £2.5 million offer turned down, while Cardiff were reported to have him at the top of their summer wish-list.

Newly-relegated Burnley and QPR as well as Fulham have also been mentioned in connection with the Waterford-born frontman, along with the other demoted former Premier League team Hull City, who were previously linked in January.

Manager Mick McCarthy and owner Marcus Evans have both said that they aredetermined to keep hold of the Blues' key players this summer, while Murphy has repeatedly stated that he has no intention of leaving Town as he and his family are settled in Suffolk.

Whether that would change should any of the reportedly interested Premier League clubs firm up their interest remains to be seen.

The former Waterford, Sunderland and Celtic frontman signed a new contract with Town last July, which has another year left to run with the Blues having an option to extend it for a further season.

Ross McCormack had a similar season and look where he is now. Not interested in this fella one bit.

This sounds like his agent or someone else trying to drum up interest in him.

He's been around for ages, decent but nothing special - then seems to have had a couple of good seasons in the Championship at Ipswich....but spending a significant sum on a 32-year-old striker who's not done much until recently?  :nono:

I'm not expecting us to be investing much in strikers, anyway. Surely defenders and central midfielders will be our priority for major signings?

Can't see this at all.

We have four strikers better than him and at 32 he ain't getting any better.

I'd be amazed if we were interested.

I think we're fine for strikers. Don't get me wrong i'm of the opinion of you can always get better but unless we get someone outstanding I don't think we need anyone else in the department. Even more so if we sign Okazaki (Not sure what the situation is with him, seems have gone quiet but I havn't been taking too much notice).

Midfield and definetly Defence is where we need to prioritise.
