Frank to be Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 I don't know where you're getting this from? They're foreign owners. All foreign owners lack patience. Everyone knows that.
STUHILL Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 in his last club job with Monaco, only lost 9 games out of 75. Don't care who you are or what club you are at, that's impressive.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Hope it isnt a repeat of Sven. Best of luck Claudio
Stevosevic Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Nothing like Sven, this isn't the Championship of kick and rush football for a start.
Lionheart Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Other than Klopp who was never coming anyway he is by far the best Manager on the list. Let's get right behind him and who knows where he will take us!
RedSoxUK Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 They're foreign owners. All foreign owners lack patience. Everyone knows that. r-r-racist? I think Pearson would have been sacked years ago if we had different owners.
4everfox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 There's no need to be worried, if Ranieri does crap then we can sack him around Christmas and get Allardyce in to ensure our survival.
ramboacdc Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 if anyone cares anymore, the owners plane has just took off from austria. looks like its on its way here.
Clever Fox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 I think some fans are being a little disingenuous to him. He has a very good CV, Has experience of many leagues. Won the European Cup and has worked with Walsh before. Give the man a chance to see how he gets on. Although he will need to hit the ground running to get people on side.
STUHILL Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 https://betting.betfair.com/football/premier-league/leicester-city/why-new-leicester-manager-claudio-ranieri-was-a-smart-choice-130715-39.html?rfr=798967&mpch=ads
Izzy Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Chelsea fans, the real Chelsea fans pre-Abramovic, agree Ranieri was a good, steady manager for them. Having lived down 'saaf' for a few years, I've become mates with a few old school Chelsea fans. They've got a lot of time and respect for Ranieri and think we've made a shrewd appointment here. They also say Lampard speaks really highly of him. I'm inclined to listen to these views more than some on here who were still in nappies when he last managed in the PL. Whatever your views, it's our job to get behind him and give him a chance. Good luck to the Tinkerman
ScouseFox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 He then signed Crespo, Veron , Mutu and Jesper Gronkear for Abramovich. And spent 120/30 million. probably the best set of signings in premier league history
Swiss_tony Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 time to back the new fella. If we're doing rubbish at xmas it might be a different story, but you can't write off somebody before they've even started.
ImBlue Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 How the hell can I possibly say who would or wouldn't be better, I'm not God. But you cannot list just six people and say he's the best available. God doesn't exist, so you are more likely to know than a mythical being. And if you cannot come up with a single name that in YOUR opinion would be better, how can you say he wasn't the best available? The world of managers at the top is quite small, hence when a manager is sacked there is a 'merry-go-round' effect. I doubt there were many managers that was a better option than ranieri that weren't given odds.
Matt Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 if anyone cares anymore, the owners plane has just took off from austria. looks like its on its way here. I'll say it again, I think they flew him straight to Austria and they went with him so they had to avoid a press conference, thus avoiding any possible awkward question regards Pearson's sacking. Ok so he's getting 'straight to work', meeting the players straight away, that is all good and right but at the same time think it's very convienient not do a press conference for the owners.
Max Power Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 What does he have in common with Sven really? They both managed in Italy for a bit I suppose. Plus we are in a different place to when Sven took over so it really is a fairly pointless comparison.
BlueTillIDie Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 I was sorry to see Pearson go but we have to move on and unfortunately that is football. Mr Ranieri is a steady appointment with an impressive CV and a hell of alot better than some of the dross we have been linked with! Some fans are far too fickle & believe we have the draw of Barcalona. Lets all get behind Claudio, he just might have the flair and know how to take us further than we could have imagined.
Finn Claw II Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 The club were very patient with Pearson, most clubs in our position would have sacked him in Dec or Jan. Every manager is a risk, even it if fails it doesn't mean the decision making process was wrong. Out of the names bounded about he seems a good pick.
TheReaper87 Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 time to back the new fella. If we're doing rubbish at xmas it might be a different story, but you can't write off somebody before they've even started. Well said
gerrytaggart Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Like I said, he has got a nice face. Contrast Ranieri's face with Dyche's mug and I think we can all agree we got the right man.
JPM1983 Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 There's no need to be worried, if Ranieri does crap then we can sack him around Christmas and get Allardyce in to ensure our survival. This.
Grey Fox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 His win ratio in the PL is outstanding I understand this, but that was for Chelsea who were already a well established top half side. It doesn't mean we are automatically guaranteed to win 50% of our games under him. I wish him all the best, but it won't as easy as some think. We already have high expectations after the way we finished last season. If he doesn't hit the ground running then I can see some fans quickly turning against him.
JPM1983 Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Like I said, he has got a nice face. Contrast Ranieri's face with Dyche's mug and I think we can all agree we got the right man. Bet Dyche is fuming. Dart board with Ranieri's face on it right now....
