biggs Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Without looking into every team he's managed in the past ten years, are we the weakest team he's had? I'm with some on here that are simply glad we have someone.......not so sure it's a step up though other than on paper!
Dr The Singh Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Makelele. Best signing.Didn't he sign Winston BogardeMakelele. Best signing.Didn't he sign Winston Bogarde
Suffolk exile Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Finally some sense - the mind boggles. I'm sick of the football dinosaur comments, he's managed some enormous clubs and amazing players, and given where we've been in recent years this is a massive coup. Exactly this!
ealingfox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 The hope: Has good contacts, is still respected by players, gets in a couple of names maybe slightly above our station, gets us to comfortable mid-table and by the time he goes we are a more attractive proposition to still-relevant big-name managers. The reality: Cringeworthy, naive and expensive. Has a good start but is sacked after a woeful run of results as he usually is. Let's just hope we do enough in his first few months to stay up. Sven 2.0.
Saxondale Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Just pleased something's sorted to be honest. He's obviously not an idiot and he's got some bloody good players to work with.
5waller5 Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 I really don't get the negativity ...... We sign a world class manager for once and it's met with "hope he doesn't do anything different to Nigel" .... Change is uncomfortable for some people but without it you generally don't make progress .... this is a progressive appointment, even if only short term. IMHO.
ktfox59 Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Is he fluent in English yet? From what I recall while at Chelsea he had an interrupter, and one who made things up apparently. its going to make ht team talks a nightmare. Is he fluent in English yet? st albans fox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Other clubs fans will have a negative view. My initial reaction last week was 'no way'. But I hadn't got the facts of his career since Chelsea and I softened my opinion after I had. Other clubs fans won't bother. They will just diss us. Good!
FoxyPalace.com Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Happy with this, Has a proven back ground at top clubs, Big name that will pull in better players. Roll on the good times.
RowlattsFox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Goes without saying but I hope he starts well, can't see it too long before the pressure is massively on. Knowing Leicester fans it might be before the season starts if we look shit in pre season. I don't know how much we're paying him but he could easy whore himself around Asia at his age, not taking over at a team who just survived in the premier league last year having been away for 10 years.

Soar Fox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Well Mina Rzouki on bbc radio Leicester speaks well of him.... lol
Dr The Singh Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Err! Of course not, he's one himself. You stalled on that DT, your going soft mate!
sdb Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Didn't he sign Winston Bogarde Didn't he sign Winston Bogarde Vialli
Blue army boys Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Not happy with Ranieri, didn't want Allardyce, don't want O'Neil coming back to ruin his own status, Lennon not experienced enough and as for preki... Just wondered who some people would of been happy with, seems to me the owners were in a no win position with certain fans. Personally I think this is an excellent appointment which benefits both parties. We get an excellent proven manger with plenty of contacts, someone who can convince cambiasso to stay. For him, another chance in the premier league.
MGLCFC Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Remember where we have been. Megson, Allen, Holloway, Worthington, and people moan now we have a top European manager who has a win ratio of over 40% at club level. That ratio would give us at least 45 points. The bloke wants to be successful, so let's get behind him.
Gerard Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 This Very very underwhelming Still time to get behind the team and cheer them on again soon Agree, I for one am gutted at this appointment. I'll need a few days to digest it and accept it before I can support him 100%.

This If he's 100% committed to us and isn't here for one last pay day then he'll be backed
STUHILL Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Pretty much any appointment other than Klopp would have caused a divide with our fans and others. We are still bitter from sacking a successful manager with no obvious reason and so that doesn't help either. I hope he gets off to a good start as I can see he won't be getting much patience from a lot of us. Cambiasso staying will be a big difference I feel. Get it done Ranieri!!
MC Prussian Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 He looks thrilled Both do. Young Srivaddhanaprabha appears to have slept little - just look at his one eye.
RAFRUDY Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Good appointment in my humble opinion! Hopefully Cambiasso will now put pen to paper!
Happy Fox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 The Sven comparisons I don't quite get, have we appointed a manager that has never managed at this level?
Mike Oxlong Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Hope Stringer's first question is to ask whether he shaves his nut sack The fan bois deserve to know
